Currently waiting for gimp to become just as good as photoshop, unfortunately it lacks many features that photoshop has. Like the shape tool, I have no idea why didn't they make it yet

For me illustrator is easier for pentool but inkscape good programs too i used inkscape before i move to illustrator cc

Inkscape is better hands down !! version 1.2 is the nutz and i believe theyve just brought out 1.3 .. So be getting that later 👌👌😎... Any free software is better for the newbies ..why waste money paying for another vector editing program Plus spending years learning a new UI ??🙄 impv Inkscape is easier to use and better than illustrator ... And as you the say illustrator costs money ... Im not loaded and ive never had over 4 figures in my bank and if something is free and is better than any payed vector editor program .. Then im going free .. Ive bought illustrator ages before it went to the "pay per view scam" as PS and All other Adobe software has gone. ..so its not an up2date version but after discovering inkscape and whats it capable of ..i have not touched illustrator for months ...so for me its a no brainer "INKSCAPE" hell yeah 👌😎

Inkscape is fantastic if Linux is your operating system. Good thing Inkscape is also available for Mac and Windows too.

I have a core 2 duo notebook (Asus K 401 J) with 4 GB of memory running Ubuntu 20.04. And I say Inkscape 1.1 run pretty decent on it.

I heard (can't remember where though) that it works best on linux systems. I think it had something to do with the access to the GPU of the linux version being better implementated. But I really can't remember sorry. From my experience in both ubuntu and linux mint it worked (it *felt*) faster than on windows, same PC.

Adobe Illustrator was made for graphic design, not drawing. Photoshop can even draw better than Illustrator, which I had full of difficulties

Im noob, What about corel? Its not popular? I have always used only (!) pirate corel to create crafts. Now I need to deal with SVG from the inside, and I installed inscape because I read that it has better compatibility with SVG. But is it possible to talk about vector graphics and not mention Corel? Or am I missing something?
