I think Milo was saying he liked what they were doing with operators. I understood that he was worried about how they would handle the reimplementation of gobble gums and the inability to close app in an online only zombies mode and still save gobble gums, a method that was used by nearly every zombies player in black ops 3.

The thing with BO6 and more specifically Treyarch is that their games are known to be more competitive so they may have smaller playerbase than MW series, but that smaller playerbase is more dedicated to it than those in MW series. BO6 is the most important game for deciding the quality of their next games and what COD CAN deliver if given time. It has more time for development than literally every COD. Also Treyarch has always been pretty good on delivering even rushed products(BO1 was rushed if anyone didn't know), and since in the reveal, they didn't mention anything about Warzone except Warzone so that also gives hope that BO6 isn't gonna be a gun grinder for Warzone. They have also consistently listened to feedback. And Treyarch is probably the only studio which has the largest shoes to fill as they harbor both Zombies and MP community. Small thing but BO6 is actually gonna have an beta earlier than other CODs which means they could actually make changes to the game before it's too late. Also, shooter genre has been revived again it kinda due to Doom TDA, The Finals, and Xdefiant having good core gameplay which isn't bogged down by poor performance like BOCW was

I don’t know what the internet is like in the US, but I’m in London UK and we have great internet here, especially if it’s Full Fibre. I have a 1 Gbps (1000 Mbps) Full Fibre and it also extremely reliable. I have my PS5 connected with an Ethernet cable and the lowest speed I had was around 750 Mbps and that’s at the busiest times of the day. Even with wireless I get a minimum 500 Mbps and that with multiple devices connected to my WiFi. If there’s any lagging on COD, I know it’s the game servers. I’ve had this Full Fibre for 4 years and I’ve never had any issues and even before Full Fibre when I had normal fibre at 80 Mbps, I still didn’t get any issues

People acting like COD wasn't already basically online only. Since BO3 you could play offline but you lose out on features like mega gobblegum, leveling, and getting a free gobblegum each round. On BOCW, you could also play offline but say goodbye to leveling up guns or perks and having access to DLC weapons. Its always been this way but people never notice it

The new Call of Duty maps always suck. That’s what I’m worried about. The people who are making the new maps for Call of Duty are not skilled at knowing what makes a true 6 v 6 work. Too many obstructions. Too many faulty areas on site. Lack of visual clarity. They go for aesthetics but they keep missing the mark when it comes to creating a healthy game flow. That’s why the old maps work because they accentuated THE GAMEPLAY instead of looking pretty.

I bet the only reason they want to use texture streaming is to make up for their garbage optimization on pc and let’s also not forget the people with data caps downloading those same textures over and over again. I remember Black ops 3 most players had a hard time learning advanced movements, i finally got used to it and liked it but most players would just quit and go back and play an older call of duty because of the double jump and wall running. As soon as casual start shooting someone and then they're going to the left or right real fast and killed instead yeah that's the end of call of duty Black ops 6. Call of duty seem to be more successful with casuals when it was just a simpler game. I said instead of skill matchmaking maybe do time played instead. people playing just a few hours after work should play other players like them and people that live on the game should play other people that live on the game. Not to mention some people may play pretty decent and then they decide to drink a few or Smokey a bowl and then all of a sudden skill matchmaking is killing your buzz 😁😂🤣

I don’t normally comment on videos but as someone who does observe a lot of communities and partakes, I 100% think that a LARGE part of the issue is Content Creators with massive audiences shitting on a game they play because its either just not their cup of tea or they get frustrated. Every time I see CoD trending its normally after something big happens involving a CC that then folks parrot their grievances. I personally, for the most part, have enjoyed CoD these last 5 years as a casual player. There’s definitely some criticism but its never as bad as some of these people make it out to be. I agree with the point that “they need to listen to the WHOLE community” because I really do feel like they somewhat cater to the Content Creators, the Streamers, the Esports Players. But that’s just imo. CoD aint bad and I definitely like where its at compared to 10 years ago. All the goofy ass micro transactions they got now, I just ignore but I VERY much like that I don’t have to spend money to unlock a gun hidden in a stupid loot box or the double jump crap. CoDs better now than it was then, imo.

A lil happy you brought this up, I said this last year on one of your MW2-3 videos, the biggest issue is the community, now I just think it’s Western civilization as a whole on why games are considered “bad” in today’s world. Everyone just loves to complain to the point where cod is forced to make decisions that they might not want to make. It was the reason why MW2 wasn’t a 2 year game, the community would’ve rebelled & not spent $40 on the DLC to continue the story. For some odd reason this community would rather spend $70 cuz of the feeling it would be a “new game”. It’s come down to just this community is just stupid overall. They hate the game yet they are going to fork over $120 just so they can 💩 on the game even more. & it’s not just the cod community, it’s gaming. I can’t play an apex game with coms due to everyone desiring to be an asshole and complain. It’s the community, that’s the problem but more importantly, it’s just society.

Troubling trend in creation for sure. I'm glad you are keeping it positive. I used to also watch XclusiveAce but at some point I found every new video was complaints, and while feedback like that does appear to have had a positive impact on the development of BO6, it does not have an incredible impact on player base positivity. I hope BO6 can be approached holistically and with something of a blank slate, not because companies deserve leniency for their past actions but because the players don't necessarily need their impressions of a potentially overall good package swayed to non-enjoyment because the algorithms reward a focus on negative aspects. The algorithm is not necessarily malicious here either, users need to resist engaging with rage-bait.

The skill gap won’t be that bad because of SBMM. There might be some stray bots in the lobbies but I think a skill gap is a good thing. If you put time into anything, there should be a skill gap.

Custom operators shouldn't be included in a story-based mode. Imagine playing as Snoop Dogg in 'Der Eisendrache' It wouldn't make sense because the voxes and the story characters create each zombies map experience, inculding the added cut scences. It just make everything confusing and sways away from the main story lol.

BO6 is a beacon on the hill for all of us dedicated regular ol players. The ones that actually still find some fun in the game we have put so much time in. I'm hopeful that with the new systems coming in BO6. The new style of Zombies along with the traditional style returning. There should be so much to do in the next fiscal yr on COD alone. Let alone all these other games coming out. It's like we went from nothing to everything in one season.

I still strongly believe nothing will change, even after BO6 comes out. More of the same over the year of people complaining, then new cod gets announced, and we are again in this same situation. Also to note, I don't know how people are only now aware that COD requires an internet connection for everything when they did that since MW2019. The constant whenever you log in connecting to server, and you must be connected to access anything, even play with bots. But somehow only now that is the topic After like 5 games already have it.

MW2019 was never like that. You can literally play it WITHOUT INTERNET. MWIII is the same way. MWII is like that. Idk what youre on, but at least MWIII and MW 2019 can be played without internet, including multiplayer. Barely anyone raises issues with this because they don't care about us offline players. The fact is inkslasher, no cod game should be always online. Most cod games have sp and even multiplayer and zombies shouldnt require internet. Its like Ghost recon breakpoint. SP game that can only be played with an active internet connection. This is not good for a cod game. What about us offline players?

The approach towards zombies with having a set main crew and operators is pretty smart by treyarch. Giving both long term fans and new fans what they want. The zombie’s storyline at this point is super long and deep and any newcomer could easily feel overwhelmed by it. Treyarch loses a little money on adding a set crew back, but gains the loyalty of their long term fan base. The operators being available to is smart because people want to play zombies causally as well and some people just don’t care about the story and that’s fine. Gameplay is the key component to zombies and they should enjoy it how they want.

The game is not a single player game despite the campaign, they warn, if you want to play the game you need internet. They have in the agreement that you accept that the servers may be closed in the future if there are not enough people playing. And yes, you end up with a game that serves no purpose but you accepted that commitment when you bought it, you only buy it if you want.

Using COD 3 as an example is a bad barometer for ending live service. I bet for activision to milk the money of their community, when they transition to an all online pay for service, will be in fact to end it once the game’s lifecycle is over. This actually is an incentive to the company to do. So YES I do have a problem with it and I bet Activision start doing this shady activity. Especially since the player base for COD is shrinking. This will FORCE players to buy the new titles.

I did like a majority of this video, However, I did notice you missed part of Milo's point on the Microtransactions with the return of GobbleGums as they were also brought up. Another Issue I noticed was when you brought up the CoD Servers remaining active, because while, Yes that is true, There are some serious security issues on previous CoD titles that do not make them safe to play online on PC. Black Ops 3, Despite being one of the best CoD Zombies Experiences, is one of these titles among many of its predecessors. So it doesn't really mean much if the Servers stay online if opening the client and connecting to them can open your hardware up to attacks.
