Amazing! This helps me with the same issue making my 1" button patterns from digitizing flowers and shapes. Some have detail within an outer border. Separating them into different paths has not occurred to me. Next, can you demonstrate how to join two paths? I have some borders and other shapes where there is a line break, that I would prefer continue for both the look and to keep the stitching speed up. Thanks!

Because they are all stokes you can use the path break apart and you should have all objects as individual parts and can then right away apply all trim commands also this is just a zigzag along line this is not a satin

They were stroke, no fill shapes with centers cut out and wouldn't break apart because there wasn't a break in the path. I'll send you the file later so you can have a look at it. It would be interesting to see if you'd do it differently. Finally a collaboration 😁😁 If you're interested that is
