Inktober Tangles 2024 - Day 20 - Gilgo

Welcome to my Inktober Tangles 2024 project! This year I’ll create on a grey Opus tile. I’m challenging myself to use yellow color (at least for the letters🙃).

Supplies: grey Opus tile by Zentangle, black pen (Micron PN), graphite pencil (Pitt Graphite Matte 12B), blending stumps, General’s Charcoal White pencil, white Gelly Roll 10, Faber-Castell’s Albrecht Durer watercolor marker.

Gilgo is very cute and easy and your magic shading/highlights makes it very special. Can’t believe we are nearing the end already. I’m glad you mentioned your new blending stump. I especially appreciate how you work without ‘strings’ and mingle your tangles into the previous work, but not always right next tot eg previous days work… but according to best visual placement. Also love the shading and highlights!

Keeping some gray space up above makes a lot of sense because there's so much going on lower down. It makes for a nice balance. 🙏
