I think Instagram needs to get over themselves, she is a babe! I love these! They're all so uniquely magical✨

I think I will need to watch this a second time to properly absorb all the things I loved about this first week of festive inkventures. The Forest Gateau colour and painting might be my favourite- she has such flow! The dangly droopy needles of the tree! It makes me want to yawn, like you do when you see other folks yawn, she looks like she's having the best stretch. Full frontal poses can be so satisfying when they work, and are just very slightly asymmetrical like this. Can't wait for another instalment next week x

The drips, the spotches on Day 6 I think add to the piece. Adds to the story. The Lady in Vase is definitely my favourite. Love the chromatic ink. Love the illustration. 👍🏽

The last illustration also is my favorite. That chartreuse color is simply beautiful, and combined with your art style it's very whimsical and joyful. I love this series so so much!

This was a delightful video! It was very nice to have on while I worked on some school work because it was so chill and visually pleasing. Looking forward to seeing more of the Inkvent calendar!

I adore how much of a mood-based creative you are!! Thank you for sharing your vulnerabilities and the fact that you weren't always up/positive everyday and the fact that it seeped into your art, with no guilt or shame about those feelings. Truly need to learn from that myself. Also the intro with the mirror was so cute and cheeky ehe! I never knew how beautiful, fancy + vast inks were until I started following you tbh! I'm so excited to see the rest of the calendar

I love all of these so much - the green piece with you in the waves of anxiety might be my favourite, or the one I relate to the most. Sending big gentle hugs your way! I love you! Also I loved the cranberry, even if it gave you a bit of trouble with the smudge! They both look so lovely and I'm sure the first will be happy in the collage it ends up in!

I can’t like this video enough times. I wish KZbin gave you up to 5 likes to rate your favorites. Your art is very inspiring. Regarding Day 2, the Wilted Rose painting, you mentioned it wasn’t well liked. The thing about art, the best art evokes lots of emotions. And sometimes we are not comfortable with that, and the expression may seen like dislike. But it’s really discomfort. This drawing had that effect on me. It caused me to think about some things I would rather not think about. A sure sign that your art is powerful. Loving this series.

what about a little christmas house made out of found objects
@sophiahodgson85Ай бұрын
I got the green and the red Inkvent calendars. I loved all the little bottles so it was great to get SO many different colours to try (I wouldn’t buy orange or red inks normally so having a mini ink bottle of these colours gives me the option and allows me to expand my collection). There is a little section on the edge of the label that will say ‘standard’, ‘shimmer’, ‘sheen’ or ‘scented’ so you can check the label for the ink type. I think your day 2 illustration looks like she is a Christmas tree 🌲 I’m so sorry that Insta thought it was ‘nudity’ because it’s so stylised I’m guessing that as you love brown you’re loving Pantone’s colour for 2025?

Hey hun I was just wondering about the onion skin journal that you got. I’ve been looking for something like that for ages so I appreciate your recommendation. They’re shipping cost more than the actual item. I wasn’t sure if that was just because it’s Christmas but yeah they won $150 shipping to Australia. Also, where did you get that dip pen that you start using on day six when you’re using the red and gold ink when you restart the artwork? I’ve tried going through your videos and I can’t find any mention that’s why I’m asking. Thank you.
@SophieMcPike7 күн бұрын
I’m not sure where else sells onion skin journals! You’ll have to contact the company to ask them :) The dip pen is Brass nib dip pen i got from kakimori. I’ve had it for years!
@OhbliohАй бұрын
I’m so in love with your work on onion skin paper. The two go so well. I worry that this isn’t acid free though? It doesn’t mention being so on their website. With it being such thin paper and browning (especially on artwork) may just make it disintegrate in time no?
@SophieMcPike7 күн бұрын
Maybe it will loose quality, I’m not sure! I don’t know enough about that kind of stuff tbh! It’s just a fun time place for me :)
