Absolutely! The juxtaposition of him holding his iPhone in a sock to get good audio, and the quality of his videos makes me lol! We are lucky to have him doing this on ytube.

This tutorial was so polished and to the point. Covered a wide range of info yet wasn't too dense to comprehend. I've been following BlenderGuru, Ian Hubert, CG geek, and a bunch of others but yours seems to have the best balance. Great job Jacob!! Subbed of course :)

Your tutorials (all of them) are full of precious information and they really stand out for the quality and added value. Thankfully you don't hold back information in fear of being too technical and I swear they are the clearest tutorials I could find! If I might, I suggest a detail on improving the comprehension of the relationship between each composition and the selected view layer, you can enable in the data outliner, under filter, the restriction toggles for holdout and indirect only. That way we can always clearly see what contribution each composition gives to the currently selected layer (and as a bonus you can modify them with a single click).
@InLightVFX3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for that feedback and the tip! I did not know you could do that and that would be super helpful. I will certainly do this for future tutorials!

right there. not even a minute into the video and a nugget of knowledge vital to this entire thing. i've never thought to animate the position of the object to match while tracking. and it only gets better from there. great stuff, just subbed. EDIT: damn shit just got real. rarely do I ever feel the need to click the bell on knowledge-based channels just because I hardly ever find a person's teaching so compelling and useful that I need to watch it immediately. I clicked this fak outta your bell lol. this is seriously a great tutorial.

Im just a Blender beginner, but this was a thing I always asked myself. Like how they do f.e. the iron man suit go around a body, if the camera doesn't know its 3D space... but now I kinda get it xD Lol thank u dude
@finallyfree5734 жыл бұрын
Actually in most cases it's enough to composite a 3d object only in foreground. For example, you can "dress" actor in iron man suit simply by object tracking of his body, and then add a suit model on top of a footage.
