InMoov Build Part - 14 Hands and Forearms

This is my ongoing InMoov robot build. Hands and forearm build and issues with them.

Great video as always! The arms are complex for sure and take a fair amount of time to assemble. I'm currently working on getting my wrist and wrist gear to all fit correctly, a bit of binding that I think just needs to be filed down in the right spots.

Hello bro im doing this hand for University project can you tellme if you use PLA or ABS or other and how much filament did you used in the construction of the hand how long have you been building the hand and finally also what servomotors serial you using because i need to know if could use cheaper servos, idk if you will read this but in case you do please help me

Hi, all my InMoov is PLA, not sure how much I used in the hand but maybe 1.5 reels for the hand and forearm. Use at least 50% infill for any gears but less for general parts. I used cheapish MG996R servos for the hand/fingers from Ebay. A few burnt out but you can buy in quantity packs. Printing the hand didn't take that long but setting it up took the time, I found the hands the hardest part of the whole InMoov to get working correctly. I knew it must be using some wire/line. Wouldn't it be better to use some stronger and flexible material?

Hi, its fishing line. Its not ideal and is not the best design. There are other designs and Gael/InMoov creator has designed a much better hand that I think is used for charitable prosthetics, but he has not made the designs available. Can you please answer me can I use servo motor mg90s Instead of tower pro mg996r

Hello, any servo that is same size and will fit in the arm. I used cheaper ones but they burnt out often. The MG90 are too small and weak I would think.
