InMoov i2Head build Part 2

In part 1, we assembled the head's base, upper teeth, Upper lip servo and check puller servos.
In Part 2, We assemble the Left eye.
Parts used:
4 x JX Servo PDI-1109MG per eye assembly.
1 or 2 micro camera(select the type2 with auto focus) fr.aliexpress....

Hello, everywhere i looked JX PDI 6221MG servo's were out of stock so i got some other servos with the same torque but the problem is that their dimensions are 55 x 20 x 43 mm, will it fit?

The height of the servo at 55mm shouldn't be much of an issue, there is room there. The 20mm is the same as the PDI-6221MG, the 43mm is a bit longer than the 40mm of the PDI-6221MG and may cause you a problem. There are 2 of these servo used, one for the jaw and one for the neck. @@chaoticlabzdev Unfortunately in 2 dimensions it can cause a great deal of issue. It mounts into a tight rectangular hole, the extra 3mm stops it from fitting 😞

@@CyberOne so i think that now i will just make the original head instead. Instead of the HK15298B can i use a MG946R in the original head for both jaw and tilt mechanism, the torque and dimensions are nearly the same, i heard that the jaw might need more torque so if the mg946r is not enough can i get a MG958 servo motor?

I am building this now. Looks like the current eye assembly is a different design. The only clues I have to assemble are a few pictures found on the V2 Head.

@@MechaLeland Just checked my files compared to what's on the InMoov.fr website. It does look like there is a new version of all the i2Eyes parts. I might have to download and print out the new parts 🙂

Parts don't look that different. The assembly should be a bit simpler. Previously, you had to make a link to join the two parts that rotate the eyeball from the servos horns. These are now a single part, one for the up/down and the other for the left right. They are both the same size so are interchangeable :-)

@@CyberOne I got a bit further into the build. You are right it's not significantly different, but those differences are throwing me off. But I'm sure there is a good community driven assembly build I can follow on the eye. I just have to make the connections to the back of the eye to the seated servos.
