Interesting. How many children today mimic what they see and hear without understanding their words or actions. Script writers put words in childrens mouths that should never be there. How many children are taught to hate and trained to eliminate? Why would we say the mimicry of Ameca is 'not real"? Are the words less hurtful if spoken by someone who doesn't understand. Of course not. It's only after training can a human finally understand the effect their words and thoughts have on others and even then, it doesn't mean they will care. Empathy is not built in to humans.

I hate to break it to everyone, but that's the world we already live in. We have several negative feedback loops going. It's because the algorithm doesn't account for natural evolution. You see, first, we interpret the world through our views. The algorithm reinforces whatever those views are, wrong or correct. Second, negativity is like an addiction. It's the first thing the mind goes to, and it lasts like the energizer bunny. Third, neurons that fire together wire together. If the natural course is negative feedback loops, originally for remembering what not to do to the unfortunate preditor who just met you (that's a joke). If neurons that fire together also wire together, and you're in a negative feedback loop, you're creating a neural structure (a habitual pattern of thinking) that's negative, aiming down. The algorithm doesn't stop this, it speeds it up because all it does is reinforce your views of the world (your way of interpreting the world). Fourth, we're a social species for survival. We talk and bounce ideas off each other to orient ourselves as close to reality as we can get. But this requires many ways of thinking to achieve (discussions with many people). The only people you're talking to with this algorithm are like minded individuals who also reinforce this negative way of interpreting the world. So as you can see, there are several negative feedback loops which should be positive and aiming us up, but without proper knowledge of this, eventually, say next or a few generations, we'll all be aiming down. Am I wrong?
