InMotion V10F EUC deeper dive part 1 - sadly I had a camera issue that caused problems - I did manage to save the first 10 mins of it which I'm uploading because I think it will still be helpful to some (Phil I'm thinking of you) and will try to find time to record it in it's full.
Part of what is missing is my thoughts after 2 more days of Riding this wheel. I'll sum it up here, I REALLY REALLY like it. The wheel comes into it's own in turning at higher speeds and it's just a joy for that kind of thing. It's also very comfortable for cursing, and my trust in it is growing.
I did manage to overheat it doing some crazy hill climbs on a 100+ degree day (and on a 60% battery). The wheel politely told me to stop and exit. After a few moments of resting, I got back on and completed the hill and route.
Also this is the most polite wheel ever. After your wipeout, it tell you to "please be careful." :-)

Great video, are you using guitar stand as EUC stand? if yes then how is it working out for you is it strong enough and will you recommend for Inmotion V10 (considering its weight)?

YASAJ TV thanks. I am using a guitar stand as an EUC stand, and it works well for the lighter EUC’s. In 2020, I’m afraid I can NOT recommend the V10, unless the price is an absolute steal (or at least very good) - it’s a reasonable civilized city commuter for lightweight riders, but the price point is too high for what you get. I returned it because of problems (later videos) and went with a gotway MCM5 800w which kicked the tar out of the v10F. 2019 & 2020 EUC’s have really moved the bar too much for v10’s to be a choice for a new purchase (though reasonable used or for learning).

Working on it. I expect in a day or two I'll put up a corrected version. I'm waiting for 2 piece of gear to come in (Wed) and till I get some more time to try and figure out a problem I'm seeing infrequently in overloading the wheel (not sure if it's heat or weight or the hill or me pushing it too hard or some combination).

Michael Paolini that’s sound bad. My V10f is already ordered. That scary me! It’s supposed to be a wheel with a lot of torque and enough power to do not expect that kind of thing ...

Agreed. I've had to exit it [politely] three times. 2 of those times I peaked the power at 2093w and so could understand. The third time was less than 1600W. In all 3 cases the mainboard temp was 131+ degrees F. It's the same hill I've climbed countless times on my mTen3, Kingsong 14 & 16s (before I lost weight), but that was in winter and spring, not now in summer. The wheel tells you "Overload, please get off" or something like that while coming to a stop and tilting WAY back. In all cases waiting a minute or so and getting back on and finishing the hill was possible. It's a safe exit, providing there isn't a car behind you. I posted over on their forums about it here: www.myinmotion.com/pages/forum?p=post%2Fv10f-cutting-out-and-asking-me-to-get-off-when-it-shouldnt-9759363%3Fpid%3D1304432341 With Gear I'm about 220 pounds on the wheel, if I add a Camelbak with water 227. The temperature shutoff was on a 94 degree day. I'm disappointed and worried to as I purchased this wheel for me instead of being sent it for review. I also can't get it to recreate consistently. Last night I got it to occur in 1 out of 7 runs I did.

I will add, I never had a problem on a flat or downhill.

I've ordered mine. I weigh in close to the maximun weight and I've ordered the V10 at 1800 watts hoping this would have the ability to cope with my weight... was looking at the V8 but decided I be better paying the extra £300 but getting a huge power boost that would ultimately cope with my weight much better!...now worried with you saying it's cut out on the hill a few times..what inclination approx??...and you have the V10F.... now i'm questioning my initial logic?????....Thankyou for doing the review your coverage is interesting and important. A third installment say after a month of regular use would be brilliant...and the cut out on the hill re-covered and the fix if it needed it. Cheers. Ant.

195Bucks the follow up to this with details is actually posted. On the flat I don’t think weight is an issue, but on my hill with weight and heat I get mixed results as you will hear.

Michael Paolini u should have gone for KS18L. Higher maximan weight, 18 inches wheel, better trolley handle, bigger maximum power, 4 speakers. KS18L is just a better option.

I just posted the last video in the series on it. You can find the hill information and forum posts on the second or third video. Along with another video from a guy much lighter than both of us where it overloads on him 30 times in his ride up the mountain (while the gotway he’s with keeps going). What I’d say is 1) always buy the biggest battery you can get - it translates to better safety and better performance over a longer range. 2) this wheel is beautiful but not ready for prime time yet - at least not if you are either an aggressive driver, weigh more than 150 pounds, or plan to do hills. They may fix this in firmware, but no way I roll the dice on that with my money. Good luck

Kwaku Adjei I may still. The 18” stop is open in my stable. I’ve only filled the 10” and (hopefully) the 14” (with the mcm5 800wh - 1500w motor in that size?!? Are you $&@! kidding me. High hopes). I’ll do a thoughts on 18” soon as I’m in the process of comparing them.
