Awesome wheel. I have V12HT for 1,5 year. 5600km on the clock and the wheel is like new. It just screams quality! I am a bit sad that they do not used again the great color touch screen, but OK. The speakers broke after the first week in my case so the beeper is great choice :D. This is definatelly the wheel for my next season, I really love built quality of Inmotion wheels...
@sebgro Жыл бұрын
The V12 has superb build quality. Too bad the HT *still* has software problems, which likely will never be fixed. Self-acceleration happened to me recently. IM will ship a new driver board, but I doubt it will fix anything. The wheel also seems to turn off or forget how to balance for

Looks great. I'm happy to see that the wheel appears to be fairly durable. I agree, putting the charging ports on top was a weird choice, especially where they are trying to make it so waterproof. I actually like that they used the 4-pin connectors instead of the 5-pin since the pins will be bigger (in theory) and thus less likely to bend. I'm very excited to see how it rides. Hopefully your ankle allows you to have some fun with it!
@ElectricUnicycles Жыл бұрын
They use a 5-pin (tiny pins) connector but the wheel only has 4-pins. So you're not getting bigger pins. Thanks.

imo, the 134v, 4 pin charege ports are flawed in that the square configuration of the pins can easily short and cause arcing if it is forcefully pluged in at a 90 or 270 degree rotation, especially with a aftermarket hyper charger where the charger's metal contacts are more exposed than the stock charger. im happy inmotion is deciding to use the more offset, 5 pin configuration, my frind was repeatedly blowing out his charge board and equipment accidentally pluging in wrong. im a begode fan boy, but i have to admit, I am impressed with what i see out the box here. The wheel looks amazing, great to see a progressive coil, this one checks off a lot of the boxes, performance will likely be curbed for safety im guessing but thats not terible. the apartment building I live in banned PEVs but are cinsidering lifting the ban for UL certified wheels so I am hoping the rumor about this having one is true.

Marty, I'd love to see someone drill and tap those pedals to insert MTB style studs in place of the cast nubs that come standard. Some community entrepreneur should offer a pedal exchange for a reasonable price, as most riders will want the studded inserts.

So basically it's a BBB (better built Begode)... it's like after the V13- and Bob vacating his position- they just decided to let others do the innovation. I'm rather disappointed in that aspect...
@grb1969 Жыл бұрын
Inmotion frequently rotates roles in the company. Bob is currently Production Manager for the V14 line. He didn't leave the company.
@mig6220 Жыл бұрын
@grb1969 I know he's in a different position. With the V13, innovation was it's strongest trait. Some things succeeded, some didn't. But he was pushing the envelope. That was his personal stamp on the community. There's no innovation in the V14 at all. It seems they discovered the most cost effective way to produce new wheels is to emulate, instead of innovate.
@grb1969 Жыл бұрын
@@mig6220 No innovation on the V14? -First true dual suspension wheel (dampening on both stanchions and linkage). -First progressive coil shock. -First quick-disconnect modular batteries. -First 4p configuration. (afaik) -First wheel designed for multi-configuration (both wheel size (tbd) and battery size). First IPX6 motor/ IPX7 batteries. First high quality headlight (arguable). First quality mudguard (minor). Features of V13 removed from V14: -Color touch-screen removed (cost reduction) -Potted batteries (unnecessary with 50S batteries). {both reduced in cost to meet market demands} What else am I missing? There's a 25% embargo tax imposed on all electronics from China since Trump, this price squeeze has caused major delays in significant improvements to EUCs due to the small niche-market and fierce competition. Other than KingSong's suspension design failure (roller-sliders), I think these companies are doing well at innovation considering their constraints. Would I prefer a $10k wheels with all the options I can imagine? Yes, but the market isn't there yet... What options would you like to see improved or added?
