My first and only wheel so far is the Inmotion V8 and I completely love it. I'm probably looking at upgrading to a KS16X sometimes soon, but the V8 holds a special place. It's just been such a joy to ride, and I could imagine having a bit higher speed and battery without sacrificing form factor or weight would just make it even better.

Love your content Ian, thanks. I have the V8F and absolutely love it. Funny how you mentioned the Mten3 coz I bought it at the same time... love that little wheel too. My daily wheel and my fun wheel. Don't know if you mentioned the comfort mode for the V8F though that is also on the V10. If you did then apologies. I just thought it was noteworthy. Great reviews - thanks, I've had a V8 for just over 2 years and it's fantastic - range/speed is enough for my needs & I'd only change to something else with similar specs if it we're a lot lighter in weight 😁

Best review I’ve seen for this wheel. I’m likely getting it for my first wheel. I like keeping it under 1k, but since I’m over a 200 lbs guy. The extra torque is worth it in all likelihood.

After my crash on my V8 taking off too hard with an empty battery which I forgot it was low, and after a failed shoulder surgery put me out of work, I sold all of my wheels but now I really miss it and I think I like the v8f, I had the King song 18l I've Had The Monster I've had about every wheel but I'd like the agility of the V8 and the lightness of riding it the v8f sounds a little better to me and I might be buying it. I don't care for Speed I like cruising around at 12 to 15 miles an hour I just enjoy the fact that I could ride one

I’ve been researching EUCs for the last year or so. I wanted to get some different opinions on what would make the better first wheel between the MCM5 and the V8f. I weigh about 145 lbs, and I would be using the wheel for recreational purposes only, no commuting. I will be using it primarily off road on hard-packed dirt trails with occasional loose gravel. Any input is appreciated, thanks

You can upgrade the pedals. I replaced my original v8 pedals with these newer ones.

I have a v8 which is good enough to travel 13 miles each day. But I did have a cutoff because I pushed it too hard... This v8f has more comfortable pedals which is very important when you use your weel daily and has more power which would probably have saved me from a crash. I ride my v8 under the rain with no issues so I guess this v8f will do the same. Looks like the ultimate wheel for the price! 😉

I have trouble finding these or most models hard to find in the USA. is there a full service company in the USA. i have a swagroller and really want a faster one with a 16" wheel. I think this is a great choice, I'm 73 so i don't need the fastest for sure. Nice review!

Hey, great video! Quick question. I just bought a new V8F, and when I turn it on, it makes a high-pitched scratchy sound (kinda like static+interference) that's not too loud but definitely noticeable. It stops when I press the button under the handle, and starts again when released. InMotion tells me this is normal, but it seems very strange. I would think when sitting idle, it should be silent, like an electric car or e-scooter. Was that your experience as well?

good review!look like a nice upgrade.....But v8 is 2hrs fully charge now 6hrs it's in my opinion nonsense! they sacrifice the short time charging this was putting the v8 ahead of the other wheels🤨

We will do some more testing and time it again, it was from completely ~0% for the test.

You forgot to mention now it's just inmotion not in motion/ Solowheel because Solowheel was bought out by inmotion and they redid all the safety and circuit boards in these so now they just don't shut off when the battery is low and throw you off it, like it did with me and far as I know the wheel motor is 1000 w a 2000 Watt peak. I got mine for $999 USD.

As with all wheels, the lighter the more range and power can be utilised. Max weight is recommended at 110kg (but will of course get less milage than what we got in this video)

Ps i decided to get the v8f and its just what i needed. I can't get the App to 100% work but its so rideable. That instant off button is so right. My riding stance is "hang 10" like a surfer.
