Hi Steve, I found your videos & have already benefited from them. Great detailed instruction & demonstration of, 1) the proper grip with the lead hand & thumb extension ( molded, I think you referred to it as), with the thumb helping the whipping motion of the club through the hitting area; 2) the hip bump & trail leg bent inwardly at address setting the spine tilt for driver & irons; 3) the trail leg moving forward during downswing finishing close to front leg at follow through. I think I got them right (as you taught). Took these all to the range & practiced at half swing only ( lead arm parallel to the ground) & had great results. These tips seem to have corrected flaws ( or at least I’m heading in the right direction) I’m trying to eliminate in order to find more fairways & hit all shots longer & straighter. Thanks so much

A couple of suggestions from my personal experience. These type of videos are undoubtedly valuable, so don't get me wrong here. I was suffering death by KZbin, attempting all sorts of positions, techniques, fixes, in search of more distance and consistency only to lose distance and have scores go the wrong way! I finally broke down and went to a Pro for a series of lessons. What I had done to my swing watching videos was counter to what I hoped to gain. Some may be able to self diagnose their swing, but most of us weekend warriors can't. I suggest going to see a pro, taking more than one session and only then look at videos related to the problem they diagnose. Interesting enough, my pro started with set up and grip. Changed both. Then the release. You really want to improve, pay the fiddler!

You nailed it. I think that I have been getting lazy with the setup lately. Problems with hooks and pushes . Next time out, will try to get back to basics and follow this setup! Thanks

Is it normal to then need to move a little closer to the ball? After doing those adjustments I find that my arms are now stretching a bit too much.
