As with all your video, extremely helpful and they do work. Just changed drivers from a stiff shaft to a regular and my swing speed is now around 102. Seem to be pushing or power fading the ball and wish to draw. Especially at my age in the 60's. Many thanks and always look forward to your videos.

Hi Steve, Thank again for a great video.. My swing speed is around 95 to 100 .. Not 100 percent sure could be more.. But I hit some long beauties because of you! Landed in the center of fairway last night 20 yards into a par 4! Yippeee!!! Sometimes I do fade to the right rough at the end ... I think that would be the left hand not releasing or the week right arm not bending in.. But have been HAPPY about my hits this year.. I do three of your drills ( thinking about membership) Chair drill, wrap the pole , alignment stick. When I start hitting bad I go back and review the slice video. Oh and that thumb if it is not right on ( its not good)!!! Thanks Again!

Another great video Steve. I improved my draw shots with driver after watching Marcus Edblad's channel where he showed the same method as you to release the club earlier. Another useful grip tip I got from Steve Johnstone's channel was to take my usual grip, then slip my trail hand only into a 10 finger ( 5 finger?) position. I was amazed how much easier it made releasing the clubface.

Hi Steve, thank you for another great video. I am going to be 60 soon(December) and my friends wondered how I found some new youth. I can put it out there 280 to 300. However, I struggle to hit a draw. Always straight or fade and sometimes the dreaded slice especially when I try to step on one a little harder. I am watching this video and paying very close attention. I can't wait to work on this. I think my club head is 100 to 105 maybe.

I estimate my top club head speed as around 100 mph as I occasionally hit it 250+. However, I think I have all 5 of these faults. But the big one seems to be not pulling the butt of the club around. I tend to have an active trail wrist and a passive lead wrist. I think both should be active.

102 ball speed Good information here. I generally hit a straight ball. Switched driver with a stiffer shaft. Now path is going right. Could the stiffer shaft have an effect on the direction of the ball?. This literally just started with club change last week old club great shots this week new club right leaning shots. Thanks !

Thanks Steve. I need to watch your release videos again. I definitely suffer from a bad handle path getting up to 8 degrees from in to out with a driver with a stronger grip with creates blocks and big hooks. Due to my missed my swing speed has dropped my max recently is 122mph with course swings measured at 115mph and as slow as 110mph if I get really out of sync and steery with the swing. Can you help with a drill to increase spin loft or dynamic loft with a driver. Every instructor helps to lower spin I'd love to be able to release the club and add speed, a little spin and launch angle.

SS probably around 95-98 with driver when I'm swing well. Regular flex shaft in driver. Hit it long when I've got the MA swing working, but with a little fade. Thinking I need stiff shaft. Improving through, I probably have been guilty of all 5 of these from time to time.

I don’t understand the flap entirely. I own a whip and I know how to crack it. In order to get the cracking motion your throw must reverse direction suddenly. Are you saying throw the club and then jerk your arms back to get a whip crack motion to do the flap?

Well that phenomenon exists in the golf swing as well but it starts with the slowing of each successive segment and finally the handle of the club slows suddenly to transfer all the energy to the hands and whip action.

The position of the left arm you are showing at 8:54 looks like a failure to maintain the figure 7. It seems like if you have a passive left arm and maintain the figure 7 through impact, you should get the correct hand path automatically as the arms and hands arc around with the turn of the torso. Do you agree and might this be the reason Mike Austin did not talk so much about the hand path in detail, because it is implicit in maintaining the figure 7?

You could maintain the 7 and still have your handle come out away from the rear thigh and point into right field too long. So it's maintain the 7 and 'keep your hands next to your money.'
