Steve this is one of your most important videos in my opinion that I have watched on this channel and on KZbin in giving the reason for the why we should strive for this movement.

This is the best explanation on early extension I have ever seen.

Another awesome video! I am that single-digit handicap that struggles on tight and narrow courses due to early extension and excessive face rotation.

This has dramatically helped me. The butt to chair drill is fantastic. Leaves so much space to swing in & power is harnessed. Thanks Steve

A great simple exercise that makes a lot of sense. And helps to fix an age old problem of early extension. Thank you!

Thanks Steve, this is one of my main bad habits that I slip into. You’ve really explained well how this leads to the swing faults that can creep into my game. I’ll be trying this drill asap.

I haven't had much time lately to work on this, but the more I look at your explanations about it the more important I realize it is to solve my inconsistency issues. Thanks again Steve. Best Always!

I guess the second golden nugget beside this is sequencing the recentering move lateral before the downswing. That helped me a lot to create space, using the ground and keeping my back a touch longer towards the target and reducing that hitting motion and coming over the top.

Steve you nailed it with hand path and rate of closure … Now I know why with longer irons or woods I was smothering the ball and could barely get it off the ground … thanks for sharing 😊

Tiger always had an issue with hand path and exit - just look at the first time he worked with Butch.

Steve, I think this is phenomenal. Could I ask a massive favour? To make sure I'm doing this correctly with the turned on end work out bench. If I did a video and uploaded it to my KZbin channel and sent you the link would you kindly peruse it. Thanking you in anticipation. Grateful Aussie.

I’ve found that if I flare my trail foot a bit this helps keep my knee moving towards center line. The trail foot will slide into finish. Might not be correct thing to do, but it prohibits the early extension (at least for me)

Of all of the swings faults one can make...this is probably the first one to address..early extension

What golf range is Steve on? I am looking for a range with those short yardage targets to dial in wedges. Thanks

Noticed today that I was too upright to start with, forcing me to early extend. Thi vid did the trick!

What do you recommend for someone with sciatic issues making proper sidebend and posture? Thank you sir!

Ooh that's a tough one. In that case modifications may have to be made to the swing model for that golfer to have his or her most fun.

This is a great video. I'm guilty of it and most people I see on the course are guilty also.

Steve your lessons are awesome, but repeat on the right way to move and less on what not to do.

Rahm and Mike Austin' swings are on 2 different planets. I thought you were teaching his swing method, that's a severe curve you're making there. Modern golf instruction at highest level leads to massive body injury among all PGA Tour players. I've always been struck why among all those Golf elite players, none of them was thinking of Mike Austin as an example to follow.

The swing moves I pick out individually in players like Rahm were similar to what Mike did, although in this case there is much dissimilar.
