PACHAMULAK ACHAR
Ingredients
1. Green chilli (Pachamulak) - 150 gm
2. Salt - to taste
3. Lemon juice - of 12 to 15 limes (3/4 to 1 cup)
4. Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
5. Mustard crushed - 3 to 4 tbsp
6. Mustard oil - ¼ to ½ cup
Preparation
1) Cut the green chilli into 3 or 4 rounds.
2) Mix well with salt & turmeric powder, crushed mustard & fresh lemon juice.
3) Cover with a clean piece of cloth, tie & keep in sunlight 4 to 5 days with tied cloth covering.
4) After 10 to 15 days open & add hot mustard oil or olive oil.
5) Bottle. Stir once in a month or place in the sunlight with lid covered, for one day.
Shelf life up to 1 year, even outside the fridge.
