Bob played 3 songs. The rest is Ritchie Blackmore. He played bass on this song, kill the king, and other lost on me. He turned out to be a Mount Rushmore bassist and songwriter. Ask Ozzy, Sharon ripped him off out of millions.

Blackmore for hinself once said - the solo in "Gates of Babylon" is his best solo, cause it was taken totally spontaneous... many many other guitarplayer covered it Itsa a pity tha there don't exit any live version... just the Playback one ( here in the video ) , where Dio sings live to the rest of the track, that was made in the studio form the LP "Long Live Rock'n Roll".

Well, Ronnie James Dio (RIP) was probably the best metal singer and Richie Blackmore (former Deep Purple) was the best guitar player. I don't think it's just coincidence when you experience influences of the 70th rock bands (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Rainbow) in metal bands that became famous in the 80th or later (like Iron Maiden).

No soy de los que más conocen las canciones de Dio pero he escuchado lo suficiente para decir que ninguna canción me ha defraudado,le descubrí en los 80 con el álbum"Dream evil". Debo añadir que,si mis datos son correctos, él fue el que inició en el heavy la postura manual de 🤘, según tengo entendido su abuela era italiana y hacía ese gesto para auyentar los malos espíritus,al comienzo de su carrera empezó a hacerlo en los conciertos y, bueno,es evidente que se ha quedado vinculado al rock 😀🎸🤘

I wish Dio and Blackmore had stayed together. Blackmore Dio and the late great Cozy Powell rip. Who know what mountains they would have climbed? This is one of Blackmore's great soles. Its called the Blackmore snake charmer scale. Guitarist in the day wanted to know this.

I'm sorry but Inna, if he best you have to offer is what the lyrics are saying and making a comparison to iron Maiden, a group I would suggest you have never actually listened to nor know anything about, is the best you have then this 'reaction" video is doomed from the start. The singer -Ronnie James Dio is considered the best vocalist in rock history while the guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore, is likewise considered a seminal rock influence, this solo in particular, a masterpiece of rock guitar that combines classical, eastern and standard rock music genres into one superb rendition. It is a masterpiece. What a pity you were more interested in the lyrics.
