Here's the deal: Kristian might seem like a hardass, but he's a softy with kids at home. Don't think for a second that he didn't ask these competitors several times whether they were sure they wanted to play. Everyone involved was an adult. Playing makes them happy. Laura Well she have been close in innergeekdom but missed a couple of times getting that belt, she didnt take the singles belt from Levine either her story so far is getting close but not getting belts. On top of that she knows if Shirewolves dont take the belts they get broken up and she has to Team up with Ghai and that prospect would make me sick and ill as well.

I know Cushing is a machine but felt bad for Mara due to how they kept essentially just cheering on only Cushing finding ways throughout the entire match to compliment her and say how amazing she is.

I’m sorry if this offends anyone who works so hard to make the Schmoedown great, but I believe this match should have been postponed. Not one but both competitors were ill. I know schedules are tough and you want to keep the fans happy, but this was painful to watch. If you explained the circumstances and said we’ll have to attach his match to another match later, I think we would’ve understood. I commend both ladies for showing up and competing for us, but sometimes you have to stop people from overexerting themselves for the good of others. Those are just my thoughts. I wish both competitors a speedy recovery.

Spot on. They both looked awful (in regards to health) and at most places of work, would be off recovering. This should have been postponed for a week or so; nobody would have minded!

Based on the comments made by Knopic throughout the match, she really didn't want to be there. I give props to both ladies for turning up here, but it really came across as though they weren't given much choice. When Mara made the comment about getting a pain pill, it seemed more genuine than a joke to be honest. Kristian literally laughing it off was a dick move.

I think that was mainly Mara's sense of humour, she's very dry and sarcastic. I'm not saying she wasn't uncomfortable, but she was making jokes to get through the pain. Of course they had a choice, they aren't under contract or even paid to be there, they are both in a room full of friends who would support them either way. Also when she made the joke about pain pills Kristian laughed at first, then stopped and asked if she was serious. Lets not forget these are two grown women perfectly capable of making their own decisions. I don't know these guys personally, but I've been following them for a few years, I don't think Kristian is the kind of person who would force people to do a movie trivia contest if they really didn't feel up to it. Even if he was, I don't think Rachel or Mara are the kind of people to take that kind of shit, they'd just tell him no. AND even if they felt unable to say no, other people in that room Emma, Andreyko, Dan, Clarke and others would certainly have made sure they were comfortable and wanted to be there. Even if all of the above wasn't true and Kristian was a taskmaster, he's definitely not an idiot. It would be stupid to force a legend and a rising star of his league to play when they don't want to, he wants to be excited to keep coming back, not to hate him and the space!

Damn, after a while you need to stop caring about the show and care about the people. That was ridiculous. Both competitors were clearly sick and it should have been called or rescheduled. This was the one of the best matched in the history of the Schmoedown and it hurt to watch because of how ill they were. I felt so bad for them. But damn are they awesome.

Rachel made me feel something I'd never thought I'd feel watching a trivia competition. It hurt me to see her struggle like that.

They had a chance to make Mike Kalinowski into the biggest villain the Schmoedown has ever seen. Have Mara and Rachel meet with Thadd, or call Thadd, to ask them to reschedule the match because of their physical condition. Thadd agrees, and then Mike talks to him, Thadd starts to explain, Mike says "Let me stop you right there" and instructs him to force Mara and Rachel to play, kind of like how he didn't reschedule Sam Witwer's match. Given how much people on here have been concerned for the health of the two ladies in this match, this could really rile up the viewers into LOATHING HIM. To force two ill players to play against their will: that is cruelty at its worse. Of course, it's all a show. In reality, behind the scenes, the fighters would agree to play even while in their state. But in the context of the storyline, Kalinowski would reach a new level of evil. (PS You can retroactively reveal that he had a hand in this, if you were to go that route)

This was both an amazing and horrifying match. The way it played out was incredible and really is a credit to the caliber of both competitors. The two competitors, though, were really not in a good condition to play. I know it messes up their match schedule, but the players' health comes first. I get that they volunteered to be here, but that match was hard to watch. I have nothing but the utmost respect for both Rachel and Mara. Get better soon!
