Is there primary text on Sabbath rest that the Bible teaches? We left Christianity a few years ago and began to follow the Shabbat rest day (Saturday but we are not SDA). The Scriptures really stretch the importance of honoring and resting on the 7th day. Does Kemetic Spirituality have a parallel/similar teaching to this?? I have soooo many questions on my new journey.

I'm doing a paper on african religions and spirituality. One of the religions is based on the kemet. Could you tell me if it's a closed practice and the attitude towards homosexuality. Is it allowed in the practice? I'm reading different books but none touch on the topic so far. Any suggestions on what to read?

The Kemetyu, like all African people did not view homosexuality as a normal, healthy practice. In the African worldview, it is an abomination. The most common symbol in ancient kemet was the ankh, which represents the man, woman and child- the original trinity of life. All African spiritual systems promote life. Homosexuality has always been seen by Africans as anti-life and a form of sexual deviance and depravity.
