I’ve listened to all of Stevie Wonder’s albums front to back many times but I always come back to Innervisions. The track sequencing is actually magical and never ceases to amaze me.

yup... INNERVISIONS was _always_ my fave Stevie album... followed very closely by Fulfillingness' First Finale... that whole period was on 🔥🔥🔥

did the thumbnail say underrated? Perhaps that's clickbait? This album won album of the year in 1974. Very very important album. However, I have to say my favorite is the following album "Fulfillingness' First Finale" but either way, Innervisions is for sure a masterpiece.

I meant these days it's a bit underrated because it isn't as discussed as albums like 'songs in the key of life'

i love Innervisions it shows how much genius was still to come in the next few years while still being way ahead of its own time. Jesus Children of America might be my favourite on the album

Very good video, Innervisions is my personal favourite Stevie Wonder album and side 2 is my favourite side of any disc made by anyone. Also this video is the same length as Living For The City. PS He's Misstra Know-It-All is the best song on the album and the singing he does in the final couple minutes of the song is some of his best ever.

I'm am right there with you on everything you said. My fav album of all time. I only play Stevie. Straight up nut for the guy's music and message. Glad others feel the same. Should be a parade to honor him every day. Kings and Queens step aside for the living legend of Stevie Wonder!

Innervisions is my favourite Stevie album, I learned every song on the album & it helped me develop as a musician , don't forget to mention Malcom Cecil & Robert Margouleff the unsung heroes behind Stevie, check out Stevies wondermen on KZbin a fascinating 28 minute radio broadcast, the first 4 Stevie albums may have sounded very different without these guys

I totally agree. To me this is Stevie Wonder's best album and it's also one of my "desert island"- albums together with Joni Mitchell's Blue and The Beatles' Abby Road. (Plus one or two more obscure albums.)

If you don’t mind sharing, I’d love to know the 1-2 obscure records you’d bring

Nothing can be "extremely unique". Either it's unique or it isn't. Unique' means one of a kind. Singular. There is only one in existence.

I think Innervisions is my favourite Stevie Wonder album because of how tight and consistant the whole album is compared to Songs In The Key Of Life, which is still great but has a bit too much filler that get's through in my opinion.

The only songs I'm not quite as into on 'songs in the key of life' are 'village ghetto land' and 'have a talk with God' which aren't bad songs but aren't quite as good as the rest. Still an amazing album nonetheless though

the album is extremely emotional and personal. But it's not as musically diverse as Songs In The Key Of Life
