First time i ever rode the dragon tail was at night around 20 years ago on a CBR954rr and i was hooked. It's about a 7 hour drive for me and I've been back at least once a year since. It's a great bike road and looked like a great RC road. I'd suggest next time take an Infraction during warm weather. Bring your favorite sport bike along to. I've ridden everything from a 600 to a Busa and a bunch in between and not found a bad bike on it yet. Probably a bunch on good rc choices also. Maybe a fpv would be pretty cool also. I bet the bikes got a good laugh at you when they saw it.

I always wondered how easy it would be to drive an RC from a car following behind. And I wondered what kind of speed you could consistently hold and maintain steady control. I figured 35/40 mph should be pretty easy on a big truck like this? More than that and it could get out of control quite quickly.
@InnovationRC2 күн бұрын
It's certainly sketchy and things can get dark REAL fast, that's why I was mentioning to concentrate and stay close to the car. Yeah so the truck is built to maintain 20-30 the whole way, top speed is around 60. But I didn't want to rev the motor that high the whole way. One little distraction and it puts an end to everything. Be careful do it with less traffic

My man!… it’s been a while since I seen your speed runs with your limited strip.., are you going to try to brake any PB’s? Chasing any speed goals?
@InnovationRC19 сағат бұрын
Thanks for watching. I feel like I'm done with speedruns, it's so oversaturated now. Everyone's doing 200+. What's the point in doing 170-180. Plus there's parts to make everyone go fast easily, it isn't a challenge anymore even if I did have a road. I stopped at 160 back in late 2021-early 2022. Instead of just going fast, I want my cars to have more principle, something you can't just slap together, go fast and achieve. I've been hiding one car for over a year that will absolutely blow your mind, that is the purpose of my channel.

Is the Big Rock equivalent in class and size to an xmaxx? Since you put your batteries in parallel, were you essentially running on 4s?
@PigglyWigglyDeluxe3 күн бұрын
No, and yes. In that order. XMaxx is bigger, he was running 16.8 volts fully charged. Even though two batteries were on board, parallel combines capacity without combining voltage.

Parallel is doubling only runtime, voltage stays the same. Big rock is big, but it's slightly lesser and xmaxx. Lighter and has a lot of cargo space, hence why I chose it

Everyone seems to be okay with you driving an RC car in traffic in this video for some reason. I normally love your videos but I can’t get behind this one. This one crosses a line for me with RC. It breaks the cardinal rule of all RC, don’t drive your RC car in traffic. If the goal was to see if you could go 10+ miles in an RC car, there are safer ways to do it.
@InnovationRC3 күн бұрын
If I didn't already consider that, I would have gone on a busier day. The road for the most part was dead. I agree with you though, told myself I won't be attempting this again. But THIS was the road to conquer. Never been done before, won't be doing this again as I agree with ya 💪
@PigglyWigglyDeluxe3 күн бұрын
@@InnovationRCshould have never done it at all. Sorry man I just can’t get behind this one, and the fact that “normally you agree with me” means you actively chose against your better judgement, and the fact that everyone here is praising you for it, quite frankly, disgusts me. This flies in the face of RC safety that we all take VERY seriously. Stuff like this is what will ruin RC for all of us. I’ve thrown out customers from my shop who openly praise videos like this. I’m out. I can’t be a part of this. We are already pushing our luck speed running on public roads with no cars in sight with spotters helping us. All it takes is one incident for law enforcement and governments to steam roll us. We are already seeing that with drone regulation. I knew that once lipos and brushless gave us unchecked access to 200+mph with off the shelf parts that it would only be a matter of time before the party is over. Videos like this is exactly why.

Wow. Bye now. 34 mph top speed.... I ride the dragon on a bike once or twice a year. That's not even in the top 10 million most dangerous things that happen on the dragon each year. Everyone on that road is there specifically because it's dangerous. There are trees decorated with the parts from bike and car crashes. I guarantee there wasn't a single angry Karen that seen him on the road during this. There's definitely a couple in the comments section though.

I could! But I don't want to keep doing this, driving on a real road is dangerous

Good job. I was rooting on for the whole 11 miles. No you need to do it on a budget car that the average man can afford. That would be a nice comparison and there is plenty of hundred dollar trucks that would make that 11 mile drive

Thank you! That would certainly be difficult but also likely a greater chance of a hazard not to the vehicle, but to incoming traffic as well as me and Kate. So I definitely wanted to ensure we were safe, also obeying traffic laws. If a cheaper car breaks a gear and I have no brakes, could be horrible
