I’ve had issues with chemi pure completely bottoming out nitrate and phosphate, giving me dinos. Have you have any issues similar?

I've never had an issue with chrmipure. If po4 gets too low I just remove the bag. Chrmipure has no impact on nitrates as far as I am aware. It sounds like you may be understocked if nutrients are that low

I would recommend the Tunze 6040 It would really suit the tank.

I am actually already using the Tunze 6040... but I find that the coverage is not really sufficient... Was thinking of the RedSea Gyre 25 or the Nero 3... I find the 6040 Is not creating enough flow to keep my 'unwanted debris' suspended long enough to be remove by the flow outlet... where would u recommend to place the 6040. I currently placed mine near the bottom corner...

Don’t get a skimmer. I don’t use one on my IM20. Just do a 5 gallon water change each week.

I have thought about kalkwasser but evaluation is very inconsistent. It it's a hot day the fans power on alot more and evaporation goes crazy

Nano Tank Reefer No use the micro dosing pump to dose kalkwasser depending on your alkalinity and calcium test results while using ato to cover evaporative losses. Then adjust kalk dosing as needed up or down. I’ve been able to keep my alk 8-8.5 dkh in a 50 gallon mixed reef this way even with fairly rapid simple sps growth (birdnests, stylos, pocis). I’ve actually turned off my ato due to the fact my daily kalk dose covers my evaporative losses also.

@@MW-ut3dk My alk is usally 9 to 9.5 but it varies. Do I need to try to keep exactly the same? How do I do this with kalkwasser. I have heard of some other stuff I think its like baking soda. Also I was thinking about dosing with a 2 part like maybe red sea. Right now calcium is good but I change water evry week. If I dose wont that mean I dont have to change water so often?
