I don't think I'm going to read the second book unless your forthcoming review sways me otherwise. I didn't hate Winter Tide but there was too much wasted potential and that ultimately irritated me. But it did spur me to reread Alan Moore's Providence comic series, so that's good.

I’m planning to read the sequel in December, so hopefully I will like that one more. Like you said, lots of potential but it just didn’t quite land it for me I’ve heard Providence is good. I’m not really a comic reader, but that is one I’ve considered picking up sometime
