If your math is correct, and I'm far too lazy to check, the original hole is about 23km in depth which approaches the average sea level depth of the earth's crust

however, from a game dev perspective the hole is actually only about 1000 meters deep, and it loops with an image of the hole above you shrinking every time you near the bottom of the 1km fall

@@nilbogoblin6207 Yeah, when you fall into the hole it replaces the top of the hole with an image of a hole right away - shrinking the image of the hole every time you reach the bottom of the short fall until it spawns in the floor just below your vision distance at the end and lets you land That's how they shorten it, they just remove a few loops and shrink the hole image less.

Funny thing, I remember someone playing this game that was pretty much the prototype to Vtubers, where you use existing game characters instead of original characters, and roleplay as them. (although that person _SUCKED_ at playing Papyrus.)

I was lead astray by the superficial and insight-less knowledge from the textbooks that swarm today's college education.
