I got a PS5 nearly a year after launch, my wife stood in line while I was at work and got one from a GameStop drop for my birthday. I loved she did that and still appreciate it, but admittedly barely play it. I play my Switch more (which my wife also got me.). Now the PS4 I have a great memory of, besides that I played it much more. On launch day, I didn’t hit up the already busy Walmart, GameStop etc. I rolled the dice on K-Mart, and stood at their doors 2 hours early, along with a second person who showed up later. When the store opened, they only had 2 PS4s, and I got one and it still works so far.

But yeah, they definitely don't play like the games that make the franchise stand out, hence why I said people think those games are mid in comparison to the rest of the franchise.

I tried to preorder a PS5 as soon as preorders went live, but didn't make it before they were sold out. A few days later I found out that Shopper's Drug Mart of all places had them for preorder and weren't sold out. I was 2nd in line to pick mine up on launch day. Edit: 9:00 I didn't have a car yet at the time, so I just walked home with it holding it by the box's handle, no bags, lol

I never went to a system launch party, though I have been to a couple midnight launches for actual games in the past. I find it's smarter to wait a year or so before buying a new game console/handheld for wider game selection, system refinement(s), price cuts, etc.

So. I got insanely lucky with mine. I worked at a Target during that time. and all but 2 were sold online, those last 2 were sold in store when we were officially allowed to do so. However, two of the online ones were put back on Saturday, because the card details encountered an issue(we charitably assumed it was just an accident and gave a couple days to fix it. Odds are it was actually a stolen card). We put them back out saturday morning shortly before I clocked in. I waited a half hour, per the guidelines that high demand items had to be out there for that long, then promptly went on break and got one. One of my coworkers got the other one. Had my dad come and get it home. Treated him to Red Lobster as a thank you(during this time, they were still actually good)

18:58 My parents, I love them so much. They had gotten me PS5 for me, and the current Xbox x series. Both are the disc drivers so we can play our physical games. But they were bundled with games and gotten Black Friday. I wanted to see if we're would pre-order the the PS5 but my dad said that their not enough games out for it. Which I understood and thought I could always go PC but it was during lockdown, the chip shortage which affected not just console manufacturing, but PC and laptop manufacturing the part too. I have been interested in PC gaming and I could build my own PC. I'm saving up and going to try something with it. I will take any accommodations and advice on getting a good starting gaming PC. Comment on this post for anyone that is more knowledgeable.

Astro's was honestly pretty good; not worth the $500 price tag, but it's still so much fun to go around and collect Playstation paraphernalia. It's so simple, but it's so fun!

I was lucky because my grandma managed to buy a PS5 on the QVC Shopping network (that was only available for 5 minutes or so) about 5 months after it first released. She also loves playing Crash Bandicoot (she’s based😁) and wanted to see if the PS5 enhanced the PS4 version at all, so it was a win-win for both of us… except I use it more than her now because she remembered how hard Crash was.😅

I think the only issue I have with the build a pc over getting a ps5 argument is a pc comparable to the specs of a ps5 is just going to be more expensive probably even more that 1200 and of course comes the convenience I pearsonally would rather have console that works out of the box that I can plug in and start playing and of course I already have to spend all day at a desk so I’d rather spend my free time on a couch or on my bed playing a game but again that’s fully my bias and of course I can see the appeal I mean the amount of freedom is unparalleled but if I ever get into pc gaming it will probably be through a pre built

I believe the reason, they haven’t done Bloodborne remastered, it is because it doesn’t fit PlayStation current requirements • Emotional Narrative Driven • Hyper Realistic • Cinematic Entertainment Unfortunately PlayStation has lost it’s identity since 2018, and it is the reason we are seeing more games trying to be like the Last of Us, God of War 2018, and Gran Turismo, and less games like Gravity Rush, Sly Cooper, and Wipeout But that is my opinion
