@@EliteAudioUK I hope I am not buggin you, but I am really curious if you had a chance to make this comparison between InnuOS vs. Roon. Of course, Innuos says that their OS gives better sonic results - I asked them at the High End in Munich this year. However, independent ears might hear it differently. Thank you for this preview, it's clearly a significant product and one that has you excited. I'm not feeling it I'm afraid. Why have a Cd ripper in the unit when bit perfect rips can be had on any computer using components that cost less than £100? Why have no indications on your streamer at all, when communicating what the unit is doing should clearly be a function of any decent component at any price? There is also some fluff in its tech advertising that makes no sense either - 'providing 15a of current to the CPU for faster transients' make zero sense - its not a power amp and CPU's will run and process at the CPU clock speed, there is no transient that requires higher current involved with CPU's. That being said, the rest of the tech appears to be being targeted correctly and no doubt the attention to clean linear supplies and the elimination of vibration and microphony is to be applauded. I'm sure it will be a fine unit and one that many will aspire too. As always, the proof of a design will be in the listening and I'll await your results with interest. As always, I enjoy your enthusiasm and appreciate you posting these videos - thank you.

Thanks for the comment and I undertand where you are coming from. That said, I can honestly say this is the best I have heard. I spent quite a bit of time after shooting the video and then earlier today doing some critical listening. (Bearing in mind the Statement is not close to being run in) and comparing it with an almost equally priced device the Statement was significantly better. Particularly in the midrange and the high frequencies. Bigger soundstage with a much more organic feel. Whats interesting about that is that prior to listening to the Innuos, I was unaware of the shortcomings of the alternative that I have listened to on MANY occasions. The real test will come when we pitch it against a £30k device. So I'd say based on my listening thus far, questions on the significance of certain specification aside, it sounds incredible. Trust me the statement next gen is just insane. I had the Zen mini before and had tears in my eyes within less than a minute after the statement next gen was connected. But one more thing that drove me crazy. Just upgraded my mesh from Mesh AX75 or so to BE95 33000 - both wired by backbone to the router - my wife got goosebumps and said "did you buy new speakers"? IT friends who are doing networking don't believe it, but my ears showed me that they are wrong

I believe there is not a single high end streamer on the market that rips SACDs. Hardly any high end streamers even offer CD ripping. Thus, I would not call the product deceiving. Nevertheless, I agree that it would be a cool feature!

SACD's were protected from being ripped. But just get Tidal and Quobuz, the rest is just a backup if ever www is down
