Inov-8 X-Talon 212 Review

Travis, how are these holding up since 2010? I have the X-Talon 190s and LOVE them. I've used them on pavement, streams, trails, and yes even through the 12.2 mile course of the Colorado Tough Mudder. AWESOME! But I ended up with a small rip on the toe before the Tough Mudder - after less than two months of use. I'm wondering if it was just a defect on the one shoe. Anyone else having issues with rips in the uppers?

Cube Dweller Fitness I wear these and friends do too and the rubber 'tab' that runs onto the upper at the very front does seem to rip. But you can still run in them just fine.

Thanks for a great review! I am think about getting a pair of these. I would primarily use them for trail runs. I do a lot of trail runs where I have to do a mile or less on pavement or blacktop when transitioning in between different trails. HOW ARE THEY FOR BRIEF (1 mile or less) runs on pavement and blacktop?? Thanks again for a great review, Jamie

@XBULLET200g get a pair of the newer 190's. those shoes are awesome. a lot more flexible and responsive than the 212. Also if you're light on your feet you won't have any issues on pavement
