Yeah I did but didn’t get on them as much - I had the X Claw years ago which got discontinued in favour of them and I just thought they were narrower and not as comfy. These are much better in that respect … good Q because I wanted to mention that but my camera batt ran out 😂 #amateur

@@GaryHouseCoaching yer, I’ve had the other two. Nothing really wrong with my first edition, apart from how stiff they are, trying to justify getting the new ones.
@GaryHouseCoaching2 жыл бұрын
@@mikehall6433 I didn’t find these stiff at all….I wouldn’t rush if you’re going well in the ones you have though mate… save your money for when you need them 🤟🏻

Great review, you have a lucky dog there btw and so do we 2 of them, lots of trail running here on Kauai when we get the chance. Just bought these at a big discount, but now it stopped raining 🤣when it does it is clay and mud so you need aggressive lugs. Bit like ice actually.

Awesome review. I was thinking of getting these for the snowdon skyrace in May.

Great trail running shoe review. Thanks

I got these trainers and they have great potential but they are super narrow and also had to go up a whole size and a half up on my normal size. The worst of it is my toes hit the hard end when going down hill. So much potential to be a really great shoe

Shame they don’t quite fit your foot shape well 👍🏼

Yep great shoe... Wish I'd gone a size up in mine. Just a bit tight over the longer distance. Cheers for the review 👍

Thanks Alan , it’s a shame when that happens but hard to predict these days I guess - hopefully they don’t mess too much before you need a new pair 👌🏼

@@GaryHouseCoaching yeah it's my own fault. but they make excellent really sticky doorstops as well so either way money well spent 🤔

Have you tried the vivobarefoot trail SG for trail and fell running?
@GaryHouseCoaching Жыл бұрын
I’ve worn vivobarefoot for over 10 years now but not for running really unless just messing about for fun

I am a 9.5 in the nike pegasus trail 3. Do you recommend that I size up by a full size for these inov-8 shoes to 10.5 or should I just stick to my usual size of 9.5?
@GaryHouseCoaching2 жыл бұрын
I have a 9 in both and pretty true to size… if anything the INOV-8 will feel a little roomier so think you will be fine sticking with the usual 👍🏼

Nice review Gary. I've started to do quite a bit of training in the Peak District and I'm a big fan of the TerraUltra G 270. However, once the winter months came, the grip just wasn't sufficient (I know they're not actually built for this and are built for hard-packed trails etc). What are your thoughts on using the TerraUltra in the summer and drier months on terrain such as the Peak District and Snowdonia and then reverting to the X-Talon during the winter, wetter months? Cheers
@GaryHouseCoaching2 жыл бұрын
Yeah the Terra Ultra are great for dry days especially lots of the peaks where it’s not too technical. You might want to mix them in with a shoe that has a bit of drop maybe too but not essential if you go well in them 💪🏻
