Thanks! Bronchitis was a major downer! I love these shoes too especially the toe box! Best wide fit ones so far thanks so much Inov8!

I just came back from a run on my TrailFlys, sat down - and your video pops up on my phone.😂 I am very happy with the shoes, the fit is just great for me.

Awesome! I'm glad you like them too, best trail shoes ever in my opinion!

100% agree with you Claire! I had the same insoles in the GT300 Ultra max and they do feel rough! I used their trail sock and was fine, but the sock are REALLY tight! and there is no bright green shoes now :(

Glad it's not just me and my princess and the pea feet lol!

@@wildgingerruns I used there Trailfly socks and it solved the issue, but they are a bit tight to get on.

I didn't have any issues with the roughness, even after a 60+ km run. I take hem for all my runs, apart from speedwork.

It’s a shame they dropped (hah!) the zero drop model, and the new ones have shorter lugs. It’s funny that you don’t like the boomerang insole, I think it’s great!
@wildgingerruns4 ай бұрын
I wish I liked the insole, I find it rough on my soles but I love the bounce! I hope they make another zero drop model for you
@weuekАй бұрын
@@wildgingerruns My first Boomerang insoles (bought separately) have covered 6.000 km (in a couple of different shoes) and I just adore them. Still have much more bounce than any other insoles after a mere 500 km. This product is just perfect. Unlike the Trailfly-the midsole simply sucks.

Still gutted they stopped making the original trailfly. Currently buying up every pair I can find. I suppose I should yield and try these. Thanks for the review 😊

Agreed, totally. I've bought a few extra pairs of g270, thankfully they last a long time.
@wildgingerruns4 ай бұрын
They do a regular version too I think, I wonder how similar it is
@chrisar22524 ай бұрын
The old trailflys were always very good general purpose shoes, I’ve done all my road & trail running in them since the g270 came out, and I think most of us like the boomerang insole ? Maybe it’s a thing you have to get used to. The problem with the new range for some of us is the lack of a zero drop shoe. I think you have better feel and control on steep down hill surfaces with zero drop, and if you are used to zero drop then running on tired legs with an hunk of rubber on the sole is a really annoying.

Still struggling with the fit. I have quite a square foot and my toes are still catching the edges even with the "anatomical fit". I found the shoe shape still pushes my big toe central to the shoe box. Meaning other toes get squashed.
@wildgingerrunsАй бұрын
Argh even with this one? Have you tried Altra and Topo?
@weuekАй бұрын
That's a fair point, as the toebox is nowhere near as spacious as in Altras or topos. I'd say it's like Altra's Slim+.

How cushioned are they? Are they more cushioned than speed goats? Are they like Mizunos where about a marathon in any cushioning you had at the beginning has somehow gone?
@wildgingerruns2 ай бұрын
They are less cushioned than speed goats, I've worn them for what feels like 1000 miles now and they aren't bouncy anymore but still protective
@weuekАй бұрын
They are definitely my stiffest running shoes I've ever had. The completely dead midsole coupled with the full-rubber coverage outsole result in no noticeable cushioning. Even if if you compare them to such shoes as Timp 4 and 5, Ultraventure 3 or Rubato. The Speedgoat would be like the opposite for the Trailfly. I can use them only on soft surfaces (and snow), on pavement they just suck.

I’ve done 3500k and soon worn out 3 pairs of ultra G300 max. They were a perfect match for me. Have anyone with experience of G300 max tried the new line of trailfly and can compare the fit?

What heal raisers do you use because I’ve found that when I use them they strain my calves. Wide toe box is fantastic though.
@AshRolls4 ай бұрын
The new trailfly are no longer zero drop (for better or worse) so you shouldn't need a heel raisers.
@wildgingerruns4 ай бұрын
I had a pair from ultimate performance once, these amzn.to/4eidHo2 were good. I went for under the insole to reduce potential slipping but I think they're also sposed to be fine on top. The shoes I tested were 6mm drop though not zero, so as AshRolls says you might be ok?
