Great review! I was waiting for a side-by-side comparison of the different Inov8 models since the new F-Lite came out.

Just recently bought a pair of F-flys and for the moment they have been awesome. It has increased my volume of performance on my programmed WODs and feel lite as a feather. I also have a pair of Dropset 2s and they are perfect for my lifting and stability.

@@tinti7 stoked you’re liking the f fly! That’s a solid line up there. Low key two of my fave in rotation, too

Also got curious and noticed that I havent found a review on the F-Lite. Was it a new drop or havent gotten to do a review yet?

I really liked my F-flys but should’ve went a half size up. The 8.5s were surprisingly short especially for wide toe box shoes. Usually I go 0.5 down.
@SuperTkacz21 күн бұрын
I should have sized up on my F-Fly’s too ! Too short in the toe box !
@sergn71712 күн бұрын
Hah! I'm the opposite. I'm 13.5 which doesn't exist so I usually buy shoes in size 14, but F-Fly fit well in size 13.

Great review as always. In your opinion, which of these is most like the Haze Trainer (the old model, before the toe box got so snug)?
@thatfitfriend21 күн бұрын
F-Lite between these three, for sure!

Love the content!! For squat shoes do you recommend having a thumbs width of space between your toe and the edge of the shoe or do you prefer less? (Wondering for the Tyr squat shoes)
@thatfitfriend17 күн бұрын
It really depends on how you're training, your preferences, and foot anatomy. I don't love the one-size-fits-all approach for this stuff. If they're snug enough to where they're sliding and slipping when training, but also not killing your toes when jumping then you should be solid!

Jake, another great review. A few questions/comments, as I always have 🤣 I really like the 265 V2 for workouts with DUs, box jumps, burpees, bar work . . . they are VERY LIGHT and comfortable with a nice midsole composite (relatively firm). What they lack is lateral stability, so not a fan for lifting work or anything involving lateral agility. For this reason, I do not think I would like the F-Fly, and still devoted to the Metcon 8 for anything the F-Lite Max has to offer. So, does the F-Lite offer improved stability compared to the 265 V2? Finally, in my experience, the INOV8 shoes run about a half size smaller than what we call true to size. Is that your experience in general and, specifically, with the shoes you review here?
@thatfitfriend21 күн бұрын
Haven’t had issues with lateral security in the F-Lite. If you have a narrower foot I could see it being more of an issue, though, since you mayyyy slide a bit more in the toe box. They’re hit or miss, honestly. I recommend anyone with E width feet and wider to typically go up a half size, but I wear TTS in them and feel okay, butttt sizing up a half size is def the safe call

Would you say a pair of F-fly and an F-lite max would be a solid stable of CrossFit shoes if your gym has a healthy mix of programming?

Yeah, if you can front for two for sure! If you go through That Fit Friend Shop for one of them or both them lmk and I’ll make you a custom coupon to save you some bones 🫡 just hit me up on IG!

Switching the black and white models really threw me off. That’s said, I love using the scale to describe the different quality of each.

I know, we had black in the edit but they just didn’t pop enough and I wanted to have them easier to see! Plan to do more graphics like this in future videos 🤝

Can I say that the sizing is the same for all 3 models? Wanted to try on but in Singapore I can only find lite max in wide version. Plan to find the correct size n buy fly or lite frm online.
@thatfitfriend7 күн бұрын
Yep! Sizing up a half-size has been the move in these for most wide footers, too

Looking for a shoe that's for daily wear, up to 5k runs, and light weightlifting. Very wide feet, very. Specific to inov-8, I tried several sizes of F Fly. They weren't quite wide enough even after going up a full size to 14. They felt kind of dead standing around in them as well, Hurt my feet after few min. Does the F Lite have any spring in them? Or are they a denser sole and stiffer than F Fly?
@thatfitfriend17 күн бұрын
More spring, yes, but a bit stiffer than the F Fly. Have you tried the Altra Solstice XT 3?
