Have seen uploaded recently a Crusader Tank build that lasts 7 minutes in the Cathedral mission by just standing and not using skills. Only moving to pick up drops.

Just a quick question for yourself but what's the cap for damage reduction? I'm trying to see if it's possible to run max deflect and damage reduction build

Are you making content for this game that is actual now? This build is still good in 2020?

it's a bit old but the mechanics of the game haven't changed. There's more depth now though so this guide will be more for low levels :)

What about 'Shield Mastery' and 'Runic Wards' in the defense tree? Wouldn't 20% more deflection and 20% better forcefields be a pretty big boost for tanks, even if the prerequisite heat defense isn't worth much? Or am I not understanding how those work?

20% more deflect is pretty good I think, haven't crunched any numbers but I think by the time you can get a few bits of deflect gear too - it would probably be pretty great. I just tend not to prioritise it because deflect still lets you take spike damage. Certainly worth throwing into the mix for some form of ultimate tank build tho :D

Mate, your PC is in trouble, your frame rate is going between about 8 and 20fps. You need to turn down the shadow quality, and certainly texture qualioty to medium as is honesly molesting your PC man

In 2017 this was simply what it looked like, folk on 1080 Ti's had the same problem.

Im a programmer who makes models and frame timers for a small developer, and thats not a game issue, thats your machine choking. Download Fraps, turn it on and it'll tell you your FPS, it's VERY choppy isn't it? did you get it fixed in the end brother? also, is that game only online or single player? thanks

Right, wasn't sure what exactly you were referring to. The choppy animations within game were certainly game related, but the optimisation at the point of this video was terrible. I did tests on every setting with all on/off. Shadows helped gain 10-20 fps but only non combat. Combat was dogshite either way. The problem was kinda solved with optimisation tho it's still not ideal. I'm one of these people tho who doesn't mind running a hot CPU and loosing some frames for the sake of nicer shaders and such. Never really bothered me! - But running a new rig now either way. - Multip-layer but campaign is single only.

Checking in on it once or twice a week but as there's a lack of content to do once the story is completed, i'm waiting for more to happen. It's gotten past the point where I can still stream it and have fun. Just needs a bit of time hopefully. Will still be covering anything that happens in the game - that just hasn't been much for the past few weeks.

This tank won't work properly on high power rating. So if you build tank try at least get 50 rank before doing such guide for new players ))))) Build useless

Well i've been using it for the past few milestones without problems. It's more viable than any damage orientated build because survivability scales much better than damage does through skills. Even at the very start of the game, 150 health > 1% damage. Because you either kill enemies in 1 hit or 2 hits. Feel free to disagree, but it works, it's efficient and if new players try it, they will be fine provided they play sensibly.
