I love 03-04 cobras even with a simple set up they can make some serious power great job guys.

@@blackoutkr8183 yeah this guy probably spent anywhere from 25 to 30,000 for this setup for that price I need 1300hp He definitely could have gotten 700 rear wheel horsepower with a lot less work but like I say sometimes people have money to swing I wouldn't for that amount of power but a

I had no idea they were just down the road from me. Once my blown/stroked 91 GT streetrod is put back together (rear end re-build) I'm taking her to be tuned by Murrillo MS. 483RWHP, sure he can tweak it up to 500.

was this on pump? e 85? race gas? because i had a completely stock motor. 2.8kb fbo and pump/ms 109 mix and made 695whp

@@HALF-ACRE2014 its only on 14 psi. Most setups in this power level on stock motors are up around 20+ psi .

I hope those where the "low boost" hp numbers because you would expect more from that fully built MMR 5.3 DOHC with that big wipple supercharger. Should have keep the 4.6 DOHC Cobra motor instead.

A supercharger can only go so far, twin turbo it n watch it pass 1k hp easily.. i like superchargers better tho cuz instant power from idle to max rpm, i'm sure they coulda gotten more but maybe owner didnt want to spend more money, the build cost is def over $10k..

Whipple 2.3 with only 14 pounds this is insane numbers for that now old little blower. A new gen 5 3.0 whipple would make 1100rwhp with this engine and alot of boost.

Dude it's 9:1 compression on 14 psi what do you expect? Those are solid numbers for that compression and that boost level. A stock motor would need 20-22+ psi to reach those numbers with the same blower.

@@wizzjo1nt5 some people are so clueless. They're like oh my buddy made 800 on this blower with a stock motor! Yea your buddy is prob running 25 psi too this one is only at 14 and just 9:1 compression these are solid numbers.

Thinking about going 5.0 stroker for my 01 cobra with a Eaton swap is a 10.9:1 compression something I should shoot for or keep the ratio close to a 03/04 cobra

High compression bro always high compression especially with an eaton imo. Just run good fuel. The thing with high compression you can make the same power as low compression on less boost which means less heat soak. Going low compression for boost is an old way of thinking always go higher. Just make sure you use good fuel.

***** The key is the efficiency, and the tune. Thanks Mike! JLT Cold Air Intake Motor was bored and stroked to 5.3L Stage 3 ported and polished heads Stage 3 blower cams Titanium retainers Kooks 1.75/3" long tubes Kooks 3" X-pipe Bassani 3" cat back Borla 3"/3" racing mufflers (swapped in) We did everything I could to make the motor as efficient as possible. The x-pipe and cat back (Bassani made the only 3" cat back I could find) reduced to 2.5" where they met, but I just had that small section chopped and replaced with 3" pipe. I think the full 3" exhaust helped more than most people think it will. I had the 2.5" section replaced with 3" pipe during break in and it made a HUGE difference how it ran even under 4,000 rpm with no hard acceleration. I sold the car last year and I cry myself to sleep every night because of it.

+whiskuz Awesome build man. Is that a gen 1 or 2 2.3? I have a gen 1 and on 16 psi I can't get that whine from mine and can't figure out why. I was told I needed 18+ to get it to really whine.

I know this is old and someone on here has probably already made a similar comment but I just seen it for the first time. If I had just dumped $20k or more into my mustang and it only put out low 700's I would be insanely pissed. That's embarrassing. Nothing to brag about here. Beautiful car no doubt but with the amount of money and time dumped into that car it should be knocking on 1000hp easily. Just my 2 cents worth.

I know bro I was surprised it made less than 900hp. SMH should have just kept the 4.6 could easily achieve those numbers with that. The 5.3 probably has a bit more torque at the bottom end tho 🤷🏽. Must be nice being able to spend and extra $15,000-$20,000g's to build up and modifi a car on top of the $20,000-$30,000? You've already payed to buy the car.

Why such a low compression? 10.5 or 11.1 would have yielded way better numbers. The motor would have been fine an you can run just as much psi. The motor is stronger than you think. Stock cobra blocks can push 1000hp all day. I just don't understand the logic on this build, not that its not nice or anything. You could have been smarter about it an achieved much higher numbers with the mods you have.

brandon reddington low compression has more to do with boost than it does with horsepower. It usually means someone is planning on running high boost. I've seen people need low compression because they're running a small blower on high boost which I think is a waste. I personally like higher compression with a bigger blower running low boost. I was pulling higher HP numbers at 12 psi with a big blower than I've seen people running 18 psi with low CR and a tiny blower. Don't understand it. Not to mention smaller blowers at high psi generate a lot of heat and are working way past normal efficiency.

This car should be easily reaching 7k rpm, only reason why it made more power every run is cuz you let go at a higher rpm, at least go to 6.5k rpm, why are ppl such wozzies, let that engine roar, ppl, sheesh.. Y'all went from 5,300k, to 5,700k, to 6,200+rpm, do y'all not see that, hello??
