Old tech vs new. One business I always thought about was retro fitting cars by taking something new and reshelling it with an old collectable shell while keeping all the new tech with awd etc. New cars are getting silly fast and there's a lot of old cars that need to be kept just for aesthetics.

I remember this from the darkcruisers days, from memory it looked a bit cleaner back then though. Remember there was a red mk1 astra with a let in it around the northwest maybe 2005ish as well that got stopped by the police coming back from Blackpool one night as he was having a play with a Porsche on the m6.

Remember seeing the build on different forums back in the day. At the time I had my SRi130 powered Kadett coupe on the road and I completely identify with the drive it there, kick its head in all day and drive it home thing! Video makes me want to dig it out storage and back on the road

Yeah such a nice car, it's my favorite too. Here in Brazil it's called Chevette and it was sold until 1994 but with some face lifts.

I remember seeing this at Santa pod many years back now.. I watched it do a run!! was amazed if not quite surpised at it!! I fell in love with it!! I'm loving this creation and as you said several times throughout the video, personality & character are everything as the new generation cars do not have this. All I would do is replace the floor and do any structural mods to put the power down and leave it as is. Great video, thankyou for sharing and keep them coming 🤠

The Opels always looked a bit nicer than the Vauxhalls of the same model, I had a Opel Ascona B and I put a 2.0L pinto engine and box in it on the original 1.6 back axle, it was good fun back in the day

Not at all. Remember we edit everything. So you don’t see the full interaction. After the atom crash. I genuinely dident think we had touched anything an if I wanted to lie I could have just edited it out 🤷🏻 It wasn’t until we watched the GoPro when back. Also what you did not see is when I pulled back up I said to the owner, if I had damaged anything I will pay any bill, sort whatever he wants. The owner was laughing to much to care in honesty. An if you look through the comments on insta reels the owner confirms all this. As for driving other people’s, we NEVER ask and never will. An think for an entertainment point of view, you want the best driver to show you how it is, so let the owner drive. We only have a go when offered. So please dont presume something without getting the full story 👍
