I saw your last video on this and it works great, I figured out a way to do it even faster! When you build your ship use a structural brace to separate the ship and the fuel tanks(or whatever you are deleting) then you simply have to delete that structural brace then highlight the tanks all together as it will not be attached to the part you are keeping anymore, saves a lot of time and minimizes accidental deleting part of the ship. Great stuff though! Keep up the great work!

It’s a lot faster to just delete the one fuel tank that connects the other tanks to the core ship then hit the bumper to select and delete all the tanks at once. Only 3 button clicks instead of individually deselecting each core piece of the ship you wanna keep.

I delete one of the fuel tanks that is attached to the back of the main ship. Then click select all on the fuel tanks and delete those. Way faster than deselecting the main ship.

You could boost this and go to both the Stroud (Narion system) and Deimos (moon of Mars) staryards as well, they both have the 160k and can increase the profit before resting. Staryards have less travel time to the vendor as well (minus how long it takes to dock).

(hopefully) fixed the crashing issues on xbox. zoom all the way in on the corner of one of the outer tanks before deleting. stay zoomed in when you exit and the console shouldn’t get overloaded or slow down. the idea is to have as little objects on screen as possible. that way the console doesn’t have to render/unrender much and work itself into oblivion.

So what I did was make one attachment point from the husk ship to the fuel pods allowing me to move 1 fuel pod double click and sell. Makes this just a little faster

I think you can reduce crashing if you use less fuel tanks and attach the most expensive weapons. Or at least it seems to have for me. Basically you'll be able to remove 34 fuel tanks and keep the ship value the same. I'm not sure if adding engines to use even less fuel tanks helps or hurts, I tried and crashed so I'm keeping them off but logically I would assume that helps a bit too just to minimize the number of objects as much as possible. Maybe even use the landing gear with 4 thrust to cut down on those too, the NG-20 would probably be easy for snapping at New Homestead. Which would be: Jishaku AlNiCo RF Rapid Railgun (x4) Nullifier 1750 Suppressor (x4) Atlatl 280C Missile Launcher (x3)

Absolutely best money glitch have seen for Starfield bar none. Because you are the first I know of that showed us this glitch I wanted to ask you. Have you have tried it with new beta update? If so does it still work? With the update coming I'm starting a new game play and I am wondering if I should do this before I let the update download.

You could do this with even a few k credits to start building it up. The method is valid regardless of the starting point. You should have over 10k credits before arriving at New Atlantis. I had 60k by that point. Even if you don't have enough to buy parts for this method, just selling the unnecessary and non-essential parts from the duplicate ship is enough to build up wealth and do it for real. Just take your most expensive ship to duplicate over another, rinse and repeat until the vendor goes dry. You get 160k credits to start.

This "glitch" overwrites the ship in the next slot, so be aware! I did this with the Razorleaf being in the next slot and it essentially overwrote it!! Luckily, I had a save to revert back to. Make sure the ship in the next slot is a POS you don't care about losing.

You can optimize it by repeating the dupe multiple times to the initial vendor on akila you build the dupe ship with as they have the 1m+ credits you've just spent. Also add stroud-eklund staryard vendor and Deimos staryard vendor to the cycles, both have 160k credits

For this, you can try saving and loading on new saves before and after duping and try saving loading after the dupe to see if it stabilizes it, but I never took the time to really hone in on exactly why it crashes sometimes and not other times.

FWIW, the dupe may not work if you have 10 ships. I can usually get a dupe with 2-3 tries but this last run after 6 failures I remembered I had 10 ships. I sold the cheapest one and the dupe worked the next try.

i have 10 ships all the time and it always works at stroud eckland, akilla, the den, paradisimo, Neon, outside at hopetech, i cant go inside cos the guards immediately agro me after killing the ceo, the only place it crashes for me is at deimos, so i dont go there. i have them at slots 9 and 10, 10 being the one that is duped and sold

This is awesome, but it crashes my game every few vendors. Also instead of bringing up your map every time to go to polvo and to go to Aquila City, find a mission in your mission list that is at those locations 😅and click on that and it will zoom you directly to those places. I have strategically not done several different side missions so that I can have sort of a fast travel list instead of having to cursor around the stupid galaxy map

I have my power just the way I want it then I do something on a planet or space station and i come back and my weapons are at half power or my shield is at 75 percent. as far as I can tell this has been patched for keyboard, but not PC. Still works with a controller on PC. I also found its a lot more consistent to hold LB/RB (Whichever direction you're trying to replace, so if your cheap ship is left, use LB, cheap ship right, RB) and X and then release them at the same time. As long as you hold them both down it doesn't matter if you push them down at the same time, and its easier to release them at the same time. Also other commenters said add stuff inbetween to quickly disconnect, all you have to do is move the one fuel tank to be attached to the other fuel tanks, but not the rest of the ship. Double click and all the stuff you wanna sell is selected, and then just hit delete. Another thing, not 100% confirmed but it certainly feels this way, I don't crash if I dupe with my Xbox controller, but as soon as it dupes I do everything on keyboard. All of my crashes I experienced were from being lazy and trying to change color/move pieces with the controller, instead of just using MBK.

I found a way so it wouldn't crash the game. Every time I hit accept in the ship builder, I look at the front of the ship from eye level, like if I was standing on the surface. That way, you have fewer objects in the frame to glitch out. Because every time it would crash for me, I was looking at it from top down, like birds eye view. After doing this, I never had an issue

Pseudo solution for crashing. Pick a level 5 system or similar and steal low level ships. I've been doing level 12 stilettos which cost like 10k to register. Build a ship that sells for as close to vendor cap as possible. Collect up a bunch of cheap to register ships, dupe the expensive ship. Sell it. Move on dupe and sell again. Once out of ships, collect, dupe sell.

It’s still faster to land in an outpost with a bed right next to where you spawn. Don’t have to click out of the pilot seat, run to the closest bed. This guy is all about efficiency. Every second matters to him to hit his ‘x amount of exp per hour farm.’

I did the ship glitch once just to make a quick buck and then went on using the ship. eventually it disappeared, like invisible. I was walking around in space. Couldn't control anything, and fast travel didn't restore the ship. I wonder if it was a result of using this dupe glitch.

Can't believe you messed up in Neon and let 230k slip. ;) Neon has an outside technician as well (72k) and there is a Stroud-Eklund shop on your way to Ryujin - you have to use the vending machine not the person. The vending machine has 160k+ credits as well. ^.^ So it's more than 7 million/h. Also: The order of ships can switch. So make sure before you dupe, in which direction the dummy ship is. The glitch works with both RB or LB.

I feel like the game crashes going off of how much stuff is on the ship you are duplicating, maybe even what the ship costs. When I was running a dupe on a ship worth 105k the game didn’t crash out of 20+ dupes done. I pumped the ship up to 175k now it crashes a lot.

This is a great video and I appreciate the effort you put in to making this!! Btw you could also throw in the ship service tech on neon into the loop. If you land on neon at the starport instead, the ship service tech is just to the left. Do the method then immediately fast travel to neon core from your scanner and continue the loop heading to ryujin industries. Adds another 72000 credits into the loop. Potentially making it more 7 million per hour??? Much love brother, looking forward to the next videos.

I seem to have found a work around with crashing. On my series X I haven't crashed in over an hour since I started this method. Anytime I have to confirm a build change I hold the confirmation button for 3-4 seconds. I know it sounds dumb. But I think the button press length is making all the difference. The method works 100%, but there is a small problem - the duplicated ship is overwritten over the existing one, which means that it does not increase the number of ships you have in your fleet, but only changes them individually to a duplicate unit. Duplication works, but it is a bit risky because you may lose the ship you need.

Can’t, have to register the ship from the ship screen in your pause menu

You can actually by going to a ship next to the unregistered one and pressing the sell ship button and next ship button simultaneously

Well I'm just gonna put it out there my man and say that you can duplicate 3 ships.... I've been duplicating a ship on my left and a ship on my right so middle ships alwaysy copy and I just sell both sides 100k then duplicate both sides and move to next ship yard and rinse and repeat. Just Jay knows how to hustle a pound lol 🤣

nah not worth it, I tested and it takes around a minute to get the 72,000 credits which is an average of 4,320,000 per hour, which brings down your average credits per hour.

On Xbox I’m able to have 8 of these special ships to sale and I noticed when copying when accepting changes press a before the option appears. And it works everytime.
