It's crazy how 2 Comm towers make certain attacks feel off. "That was a surprising kill." "That did less damage than I thought." It was another factor I noticed halfway through the replay.

@@panthekirb7561 Tbh there's a lot of solid high level content out on youtube now that there didn't used to be & it still takes a bit to reach 1400-1500 even if you're winning every match. Imo you can't sleep on new players like you maybe could have in the past and I think that sometimes trips up people that have been playing for a long time

This game actually played out similar to my own round 1 game and from Fyram's perspective to boot. The only differences were that I fought a Drake instead of a Kindle mirror, I didn't build much on my weakest Base but still held onto it, I lost both Com towers to my foe, and the side mountain bases saw more action (i got pinned down for a bit on the left, and I was pushing on his east base when the game ended). People need to remember to capture the extra Labs when they are present, as no one wants to lose because they didn't grab the spare Lab(s),

In my experience with Kendall mirror matches whichever player has an effective power first usually wins the game it’s almost a race to who hits their power first

I agree, and that's why I stopped playing awbw. Mirror matches happen so often and there is very little comeback possible.

The player behind on power can realize they are getting the power 2nd and prepare accordingly. He can position and build based on that to lessen the damage and hit back harder on their turn. They will likely have more charge and get the power first next time too, if done right.

However take in mind that building accordingly to lessen the damage of a power means your backpedalling on your pushing power and in a game where alpha strike is best means if your backpedaling your gonna get punched even harder back so in a game like that your at the mercy if the other player makes a mistake and in ranked where you have players who have played or practiced the same map over and over it becomes whoever makes the repeat optimal movements best and keeps momentum

30:35 I don't think this is a blunder. I think it's a clever bait. When that neotank dies, Fyram immediately gets enough charge to do an Urban Blight, which means he's safe from lab caps. Also it lures Super's megatank away from the labs, which is the only fight that matters. Fyram is guaranteed to win any long game at this point. Throwing away a neotank is inconsequential compared to his other advantages. All that matters is preventing the immediate threat of lab captures.

What's the percentage of urban terrain tiles that makes Kindle a better pick over lash? I'm seeing a lot of forests as well.

There is no set percentage, but in MB Kindle typically is better since kindle vs lash kindle has the advantage due to 'urban blight keeping lash tanks off cities. not necessarily that lash isnt good, but kindle just counters

I think kindle best on this map because: its a mixed base map the weak base has a city adjacent to it, this makes it easier for kindle to break it. Air units are strong and kindle D2D affects them unlike lash. Drake is very weak because of this too. Also remember urban blight damage doesn't give your opponent power charge! Lash does have a chance on this map due to having many slio platforms, forests and mountains next to cities/com towers. This lets her sorta fight kindles units that are on cities. Although i do think lash D2D is better so in a lash vs kindle matchup it will prob be decided on how good kindle's COP (maybe even 2 COP) is vs Lash's SCOP.

I don't think I've ever seen a game with so many base skips before! Usually once a player is a base up, they just begin spamming infantry and win. These base skips didn't seem to get much mention, am I missing something here?
