9:05 it’s a simple solution that many of us missed . Use the top tip of the back plate to alight , if your stance and natural body alignment is squared away you’ll hit it easy . Like shooting a spit ball out of a straw you don’t have a sighting system other then you point of aim ,stance ,hip ,nose and eyes

Comp steals some of the gas that’s sending the slide back to the rear. I’ve seen stacattos that are ported and they use lighter recoil springs. This might help achieve an empty mag slide lock.

I'm just like you I have plenty Gucci Glocks FN CZ etc but there's just something about an M&P with that Apex trigger I have the flatty in mine and I'm surgical with her. Definitely my favorite striker-fired polymer gun. 👍🔥

Which type or porting do you like better? The top ports or the commander? Any pros and cons of each?

I'm pretty sure the slide is supposed to do that. My slide won't lock back with weak ammo. Haven't had a problem using American Eagle.

C&H Precision makes aluminum mounting plates for the M&P 2.0 series of pistols.

You probably need a 16 lbs recoil spring and adjust the slide lock/slide to fix that.

Floyd's looks like they do fantastic work....but they are extremely pricey! That slide work is at least $500 and up. Love their work but definetely can't justify their price tag!

Only way to reliably fix the slide lock issue is to buy a new gun....preferably one that works

You sure your grip isnt preventing it from going into slide lock, could be pushing down on it with thumb lot of shooters do this.

It might not be the walking back because the gas or the slides not getting enough pressure to go all the way back far enough maybe it’s catching on the plunger. There’s that might be some type of friction there cause if you rack to slide back on an empty magazine does a log back in if the answer is yes, well then it’s not like you back because it’s not going far back enough And it might not be going far back enough because there’s friction somewhere I don’t know how close to a Glock and MMPB but the Glock has a plunger. I remember I had to send the plunger down a little bit to round it off like a mushroom for it to clear the extractor smoothly and lock back that would drive me nuts I’d have to fix that is where I couldn’t shoot that gun going to have to work properly to be safe. China have problems like that.
