Its such an irony with ICP, they are clowns and get laughed at for being silly clowns but yet they are realest most sincere musicians/entertainers i have ever seen. God bless ICP!!!

@@barlah1 You obviously know very little about the ICP ... you are probably referring to the Neden Game which was purely entertainment. Try listening to " To Catch a Predator " it is about the people doing bad things to young kids and how they want to hunt them. I will also say " To Catch a Predator " is also entertainment because even tho we would like to do those things to the bad people the rational people would not. In fact if you watched some of their interviews with an open mind you would understand what they are about ... first and foremost entertainment and followed by love, family and a higher power. I am not one to usually comment on things but i feel very strongly about the ICP and what amazing people they really are. It is people like you that know very little about a subject that are the first ones to criticize and start untrue internet rumors. How about everyone in the world judges you because of your one comment (Which you put no time into looking into and just ran your mouth) is not true so therefore you must be a consistent liar and noone that knows you should believe anything you say ever. ... seems a bit drastic doesn't it ?

It's already been said, but Shad did an amazing job with this interview. I've seen countless ICP interviews throughout the years and this honestly felt like the first time the interviewer was genuine, respectful, and wasn't asking tongue-in-cheek questions condescending questions. I never comment on KZbin, but I just thought I'd share my thanks to Shad on this one. Awesome work.

I used to be a juggalo back in the day (late nineties). Can't say I've kept up with these dudes, as you get older sometimes your tastes change, yada, yada -but these dudes deserve mad props for the grind they got and for their massively successful careers. They're humble guys, and are legit hip hop fans. They love what they do and the people who got them there. That is why I'll always be down with the clown, yo. Even if I don't listen to them as much as I used to, they'll most definitely always have my respect, and I definitely consider them hip hop, and totally see their contributions. Much love to the juggalo family also. Sorry that some fucking morons gotta give the whole community a bad wrap.

I didn't know who ICP until my kids were listening to them in the early 2000. I'm 56 right now and still listen to them. When I lived in Michigan is was the normal for parents of the kids listening to them, we to were down with the clown too. I got the hatchet man tattooed on my back , when my husband died I moved back home to Texas and I actually got harassed by a couple of police as I walked down the street because they saw the hatchet on my back. Asking what gang members I was related to. My god I give props to Violent J and Shaggy for fighting for the family to get us off the gang sheets. God bless you guys (all psychopathic artists) I'll be down with the clown till the end of my days. Whoop Whoop MCL

+DougZilla I mean they seem like good guys and all and they seem really nice and passionate; they just have really basic, uninspired music with really generic beats and lyrics. They have an almost non-existent variety when it comes to rhyme scheme, really amateur figurative language in their songs and poor mixing on their records. Like I said, they seem like great guys and they are obviously super passionate and hard working, but I just don't think music is for them. They definitely have minds for the entertainment industry and they know how to become successful in it, but their music is just not good. But that's just me.
@DuggieDug111
@DuggieDug111 8 жыл бұрын
Combatcorncob I can see what you're saying. But they have so much music out there it's insane. Besides their albums alone they are apart of many different super groups, and the sounds and themes change. Their rap style changes a lot too and they also have solo projects. Brought more rappers into the lime light and are responsible for their success. If you really listened to every single thing they did. Which is too much to talk about. You would have a different perspective on their talent. The reason why a lot of it goes unnoticed is because unfortunately they choose the wrong singles or silly ones. Most likely because it's just for us fans. Plus there's no radio play. But like they said, it's warmer on the inside. You really have to hear everything to understand why millions of us love them

Combatcorncob : That's easy to say at first, but I've been listening to their music for years and disagree. Some guy said that to me about ICPs rapping style a year ago. That Twisted were better rappers because they changed up their style and ICP never did. Well I nodded hesitantly that day, but started going through their catalog with that claim on my mind and it was immediately apparent that they have used different rapping styles throughout their career. J frequently uses different rapping and rhymes throughout their catalog and when he's doing his solo songs on ICP discs they can get deep, as deep as any rapper I've heard. Check Burning Up, Daisies, Hate Her to Death and You Should Know for several different sounds. Shaggy has improved a lot since they started and if you listen to FTFO, his solo album, he does numerous rapping rhythms and times. Besides that check out I fucked a cop or Bazooka Joey. Lyrically it's all stayed pretty consistent, but their newer albums have really developed a new style of music and rapping themes, more along hope and dare I say, a bit more maturity. Musically, they have some pretty good stuff, Hells Pit(some dark beats on there) and up, the 2nd hand of Jokers Cards have a surprising variety of music(beats) for each album. If you glanced over some of their singles and songs it may appear that they stay the same, but if you were to peruse their catalog, they have definitely changed styles and music throughout the decades. The Marvelous Missing Link Lost and Found see a variety of rapping styles. Music is subjective though, what is awesome or incredible to you may not be to me. However, them having been in the music biz for over 20 years, it's hard to say they don't belong in it.

These guys are a totally different breed of artist. Iv been rocking there shit for 8 years now, I have my hatchet man tattooed on my back right behind my heart because when I was at my lowest, when I thought I could never be any better than I was right in that moment there music and the family I gained from it helped pull me up and out of that. I love this interview definitely one of the best Iv ever seen from then. MMFWCL!!!

Ok I'm no ICP fan but after listening to ICP do an old Howard stern interview I've checked out a few more interviews. And I love how genuine and how violent jay is so confident to ask questions and acknowledge he isn't particularly intelligent rather than act intelligent. I like that in a person.

This is a really great interview. Possibly the most insightful ever. Just love them!! What they had to say was very interesting such as their childhood and the Dark Carnival, honest as they are not afraid to admit they cant free style and inspiring because they said they chose what they wanted to do and failure was not an option. That if you dont like something, change it but most of all it was moving. When Violent J talked about his kid freaking out over some magnets etc. I CRIED.

This is actually an amazingly beautiful interview. I like some ICP songs, think most are "eh". Then again that goes for all bands that I can think of. (personal opinion) Sadly I was one of those that hated "miracles", I changed my mind due to this interview. Thank you. I did think it was an christian thing......I should probably not have jumped to that assumption but I did. The idea is actually beautiful. Yes, I know how magnets work.......but only the simple definition. Interesting. I also didn't figure it out, so I kinda feel like a plagiarist.

I’ve been a huge music person for many years and it wasn’t until recently that I gave ICP a shot (never had anything against them or their base, it’s just something I never got around to.) I must say that after listening to their work (all of it), and seeing these interviews, I do respect them as artists. The classification of them being a gang seems really out of place from what I’ve seen and definitely doesn’t feel warranted. Listening to these guys get intense about sticking up for their fans looks and feels genuine to me and that’s amazing.

in these times Bob we will become what Jesus taught we could be. He didn't die for our sins, he was killed as you said. But he taught we have kingdom of heaven within and we have the eternity within and in our DNA. We are amazingly powerful beings here on this planet. We have just forgotten that. :) But more and more remember.

these guys' deserve so much recognition. they might not be able to accept how they change lives, but i wouldn't either. i didn't expect track 17 of the 6th card to be what it was. but seeing these guys believe in 'god' definitely spoke to me, and made it so all the bad that was around me an i ignorantly did, i never let it take me. i wear a cross round my neck everyday and just count my blessings over anything. theres good in any situation, even if its just a lesson learned/growth. theres always something, you just have to choose how you look at it. blessings wouldn't feel so good without the hardships.
