Ken ! again what a great video. I had a hell of a good time back 50 years ago with my uncles when they would take out crabbing with scoop nets and wading in the grass of lake pontchatrain shore line. What fun it was. My last trip was about 7 years ago on lake road in Lacombe when we my step daughter -n- son-in-law caught 5 1/2 dozen on hand lines. Thanks for bringing back those memories. Thanks again Kfred for all you do for us who don`t have the means to get out there and fish and do some crabbing.

I can't cook, but I love watching you cook. I also like seeing you get whatever you are going to cook. Now that's the way to fix crabs. I had boiled crabs with potatoes & corn ears years ago. It was so hard to get to the little bit of meat on the crab that you had to eat the potatoes & corn just to have enough energy to keep peeling the crabs. I always heard that the roux was the secret to a great meal and you sure spent the time getting yours just right.

That ice chest is what my Pop would have called a, "Call your mamma and invited all the neighbors over." I have lived in South Louisiana all my life and never seen crabs running like that. We usually run a trotline in Lake Verret. I have never heard of crab stew, but that's how I would make one. Looked great. You realize now I have to get crabs and try making my own. Thanks. Just an Idea, Caps and equipment is fine but some of my Mom's favorite cook books she bought from Fireman's fairs, festivals, local personalities, if you or your bride had the time, a small cookbook from you, would be your biggest seller.
