Love these videos! What if you got a bunch of those round thick cylinder candles you see at christmas time and heat the ends up to connect them and make a long candle rail! Maybe use a 2x6x12 laid down (for support) and a couple 2x4x12's laid on top, on their sides towards the middle with a 1-2" gap between the 2 2x4's for the rail to sit into. I think it could take the board slides but not sure about the 50/50's.
