Dr. Mike is spot on about abdominal surgery. I had a rare GIST (Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor) which ruptured a major artery and almost bled out in the bathroom. I've experienced everything he said from blockages from scar tissues post surgery to having me slowly get back to a normal diet after fasting to prep for surgery followed by multiple laxatives to flush it all out. Wasn't fun but it was an experience that most wouldn't go through. Also the room service was nice.

So Pringles aren't a potato chip, but not because they aren't potatoe, but because they aren't a chip. Based on definition, a chip has to be a slice of potato, and since it's made from a potato paste, it doesn't count.

What’s the legal definition of a crisp?
@KBRoller
@KBRoller 2 сағат бұрын
@@Dysfunctional_serenity From what I can find, I don't think there is one. It's just "you can't call them potato chips unless they're slices". There's a listed exception: if they're made from dehydrated potatoes, like Pringles, you *can* call them potato chips, but you also have to qualify it on the package (with specific font size requirements) as "potato chips made from dehydrated potatoes". So I think Pringles could technically do that, it's just a lot of cumbersome text on the label, so they opted for the shorter "potato crisps" instead.

Hey Dr. Mike! I went camping two weeks ago and we stayed in our car instead of a tent... We had to keep the cooler in the car with us, of course, cause we were in some serious bear country. No big deal, done it a hundred times before... But this time we shelled out for dry ice 😵 I woke up in a panic, three times, gasping for air, with a head ache, nauseous hyperventilating, before it clicked. It never occured to me that the dry ice/ c02 could be escaping the container enough to asphyxiate us 😳😵 So grateful i woke up instead of just suffocating; my boyfriend only woke up because i was freaking out.

I don't know about the EU/UK legal definitions, but to clarify: in the US, they *can* be called "crisps". They just can't be called "chips", unless the packaging clearly qualifies it as "potato chips made from dehydrated potatoes" in large-enough font, which is probably more cumbersome than Pringles wants on their labels.

My blood pressure bottomed out & was so low I couldn't even sit up without passing out. My best friend said I looked so bad! My mom just had cervical spine surgery (on Saturday morning) and she is still on soft food because they had to operate on the front of her spine, I think like C3-C5. They went in through the right side of her neck and left about an inch and a half scar. They had to have scopes and things down her throat which is why she's mainly being kept on soft foods, but she got this surgery like a week after minorly fracturing a rib when she fell off her bed and hit her chihuahua's stairs trying to not land on her blue heeler and we've actually noticed that her rib seems to be healing faster since her body is basically now in over heal mode. It's crazy to think that major spine surgery left an inch and a half long scar and that's it. She had the surgery because she had several issues with discs and and they had ended up pressing on the nerves and causing her to lose control of her hands. She was constantly dropping things and not realizing it, but with this hopefully she will be able to be back to near 100% in another month or two. Talking about soft foods reminded me of this and I just thought it was really cool 😅

Is it not that the carbon dioxide concentration will be higher than the oxygen concentration so it reacts to form csdbon monoxide instead of carbon dioxide, which binds to haemoglobin in your red blood cells and prevents oxygen being transported to your muscles. Please correct me if I'm wrong 🙏

I think you are CarbonMONoxide (CO) which does compete with O2 in your Bloodstream. CarbonDIoxide does not directly compete with O2 as it attaches to a different spot of the Hemoglobin. It does, however, lower the O2 affinity of Hemoglobin

Doctors love to hate on chiropractic because it's a different treatment, outside their wheelhouse. Chiropractic is extremely safe and valuable- it's not really complicated; it's like popping your knuckles when necessary, but on a larger scale, and with experience and training to fix misalignment you can't fix yourself. In my case, on two occasions I hurt my back so badly I could barely move. First time, I was so concerned that I went to the ER in fear that I had really damaged my back. ER had NOTHING useful to offer at all. Next morning, I went to chiropractor and he realigned by spine in minutes and I was back to normal! That second time I did not waste my time going to the ER.

Doctor Mike should do a reaction video to Sameer Bhavnani, especially the one he did about women holding in their farts. Pure comedy gold 😂

Idk about "toxins to microbiome," but artificial sweeteners really aren't good for you. Sure, they have some uses like taking someone off regular sugars for diabetes or something. But have you seen the recent studies that have come out? Talk that some of them are carcinogenic, that having splenda every day can cause ulcers in your intestines, plus well known that many people get headaches from them. Personally, I always choose sugar over artificial sweeteners because I have ulcerative colitis, and artificial sweeteners are an irritant to many with conditions like mine (me included).

looking for this comment. people defend these with their lives instead of just accepting that they are addicted to soft drinks. It's literally a chemical fooling the body into believing it is something else. just don't drink any soda problem solved
