11:58 OMG, thats Aurikatariina. I love her. She does it for free, because 1. She loves cleaning and 2. She wants to help the people live in a livable environment again. A lot of the people shes helping suffer/ suffered from a mental illness, they get in touch with her, because they are in a place where they want to move on. Cleaning a huge mess like that can be quite overwhelming, so there's where she comes in. She does it for free, but she gets sponsored by cleaning product companies, like scrub daddy, cif, etc. They cover products and even travel expenses

@LyftraS Then you don't fully understand how mental health actually works. If you have broken both your legs and are unable to clean, then people are a lot more understanding. But mental health issues are mostly downplayed because it's invisible. A lot of people forget that the brain is an organ, and when it doesn't function the way it's supposed to, then a lot of stuff is hard to do. What you find easy to do is hard to do for someone with chronic depression.

Fact is that its not a serious lack of effort and mental health DOES get this bad. People will go years without brushing their teeth or doing laundry (or like in this video cleaning their homes) because of the mental health that they struggle with. It is not appealing and very gross, but it's also very real, and not our struggle to judge. I sincerely hope you have a lovely day and allow people to educate you further!

Sometimes someone reaching out to you in this way is the impetus to love yourself and look up from depression. And mental illness is illness and needs to be treated as such. And someone constantly taking care of and coddling one’s needs (like an over supportive mother) could cause it to worsen. Developing a sense of self efficacy and ability would do more. In my opinion.
