My ex fiancé did a similar thing to me. For Christmas, my dad bought me a puzzle of my grandma and dog who passed away in an accident. The picture on the puzzle was of the two of them sitting on the porch together. With my grandma sitting in a chair and the dog sitting on her lap. It was 10,000 pieces. It took me about six weeks to complete. I was planning on buying a custom board to glue down all the pieces on and have it hang up in my room For some reason, my ex fiancé thought it would be the most hilarious thing to knock off the table. we were hosting a game night that night with his friends from out of town. When he did it, he busted out laughing, thinking it was the most hilarious thing in the world. His friends were laughing as well. I broke up with him on the spot without hesitation. I was trying so hard to keep myself together. I was trying so hard not to cry. I simply told him to pack his things and get out of my house and my life. He began to backtrack so fast saying that it was just a prank and he didn’t know I was going to take it this way. I repeated myself telling him that I want him out of my life and my house. His friends tried interjecting by saying it was just a prank, and that they will help him put it back together. I couldn’t handle the situation so I went into my room and I called my brothers and my dad. I explained to them what happened. My five brothers and my dad came over and assist his friends and my ex fiancé out of my house. For the next couple of weeks, I was harassed by his family and his friend saying that I was overreacting. It was just a stupid puzzle. It got so bad that I had to change my number. He and his family would constantly show up at my house, begging to talk to me. His mom showed many times asking if I could please forgive her son and that he knows he messed up. And that he’s willing to go to couples counseling and do whatever it takes to not end this engagement. The man was such a coward that he could not even call himself to apologize. He had to send his friends and family to do it for him. Eventually got to the point where I made a Facebook post explaining the situation and my side of the story. After that, the harassment stopped partially. His family didn’t stop though. They were now harassing me saying that I ruined their son’s life with my petty Facebook post. Telling me that his friends are cutting him off. And how he’s being ostracized at work because of this. One of our mutuals friends, dad owns the business he works for. The harassment got so bad that my dad reached out to his crew that he used to hang out with back in the day because the police refused to do anything about it. My dad‘s friends paid each and every one of them a visit. after that, I didn’t hear from them again. A month later, they actually moved out of town.
