The Bicentennial phone was the first phone I ever had as a kid. I begged my parents for a phone in my room I was 14. When I finally got one. At the time, you couldn’t just go to the store and buy a phone, you had to rent them from them from the phone co. I had it for about 6 months and our family moved to a place way out in the country. I had to settle for a plain black phone and we were on a party line. That was kind of fun tho.
