We had an element for a number of years. It was a fantastic car, Honda should have never quit making them. They should re-release one with an overlander package in AWD.

I've driven one. For pavement driving, the ride is lousy. But I wish Honda had kept it, there was SO much potential in those cars!

@bc41984 ай бұрын
@@thomastrotter6155 Beyond how it's fairly average among overlanders, that's sort of a thing in the Element scene, like all the mirrors and shit on scooters back in the 60s Mod scene. The excuse would probably be given that it's a celebration of their quirkiness and extremely utilitarian nature... but deep down there's the factor of compensating for the off-road limitations. People are finding ways to improve that (ones with manual transmissions can use Civic/Acura racing upgrades), but they'll never have low range and the stock ground clearance is an issue.

Ok I am probably asking the dumbest question but what is a. Snorkel?
@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures Жыл бұрын
A snorkel allows the engine to not suck in dust debris and water. It puts the intake at a higher position.

And this will run for over 500k easily
@Noobchannel518 Жыл бұрын
Good thing it isn't a jeep. If it was a jeep you'd be lucky to get 230k miles out of it. Hondas do last pretty long. After the 200k mark. Same with Toyota. Some Chevy's last pretty long too. I had a Silverado at 500k miles it ran pretty damn good for having that many miles on it. I used to travel with it.
@huckleberry88644 ай бұрын
If you know nothing about this particular engine (not just Honda), then why comment. I have 250k on my element and NOT even a single engine issue in all the years. Just normal tires, brakes, and struts, battery, etc. This ain't a domestic car.

Nah...not the same practicality. I have an element and owned a 4runner before. My element with the suicide doors and amount of space without rear seats blows the practicality out of the water on any other trucks i've owned. My E is the only vehicle I never ever considered selling unlike many other cars I've owned.
