HI, Buckin' Billy Ray community, I am glad to have found this channel, I like many others on here at 4:30 in the morning, have been laid off from work due to the Covid and was getting depressed. Well, as you know, the positivity made my day. The comments are not a toxic waste disposal facility. They are inviting, welcoming, and just plain friendly. Thank you all Brandon Theisen.

Buckin never change who you are now, we have A LOT in common, especially our past history, it's crazy from our younger bad days, to breaking our back, we are who we are and ain't gonna change for anyone, if so only for the better...I could go on and on. Buckin...I'm so grateful to have found you, and ur awl inspiring kindness, love and knowledge....just a great man. All the stuff that has happened and what we've done in our past has carved us into who we are. I had the same situation with sobriety but she didn't come back...but now I'm at 3 years married now with the sweetest little girl who only wants to help others and is going to master in counseling and helping others...I'm so blessed

I love watching you split wood, it's almost like a dance! I'm a retired Mason and appreciate a professional doing their craft! That saw was a beast! I bought a Husqvarna in 1991 and still have it. All the other saws were starting to become plastic. I had a Husqvarna motor cycle in 1980 that ran like a scalded dog. I was scary!

You are right about felling your firewood in the winter. Make sure you get it done before spring(I.e. maple syrup season) if you wait until just before the tree leaf outs the wood will be saturated with water. I’ve see white oak so wet it will rinse the oil of your chain and burn your chain. If the trees is that saturated your better off to wait for it to leaf out and utilize some of the moisture out of the tree.

Oh Billy, make sure Doug lets you get your bit into some of our short/stout timber, such as our dead Ash of the Midwest. Especially if’n it’s cut for a boiler. You take a chunk that is 30” long and contains multiple knots ... They will definitely bring your heart rate up! We will occasionally get ahold of straight, clean log, but for firewood, they are the exception! At least in my neck-o-the woods! PS, it was fun watching Buckin’s videos on BBR’s iPhone! Love to The Army of Kindness! Be Blessed!

One of my favorite videos from you in a while Buckin' thank you. Your silence as you wailed on your rounds for 5 minutes was perfect -no words needed, literally therapy for you and us! I enjoyed every minute of music from your killler 372, amazed at the piles of wood it was pulling out, laughed out loud when you broke into yet more hilarious foreign accents, mimicked "legit woodsmen" and poured your bar oil from two feet ...right in the hole. You make me want to buy a 372... what a freekin' pig that thing is! Awesome! Great, great video!

When i was cutting wood for my wood stove, 30 days was plenty enough time for oak to get dry enough to burn. If it was cold enough and I was out of wood I usually didn't wait that long. I would cut it, block it, split it and stack it. I did not use an axe to split wood. I used a maul, which has about a 4# head on it. I always kept an axe nearby, as well as several steel wedges and a 12 pound sledgehammer. I south Georgia, where I lived at the time, we had a lot of bubblegum wood that was more often split with a chainsaw than a maul or axe. I like white and red oak, because they split so easily, compared to some other wood. Water oak is the worst to split the first time, but after that it is easy.

Best firewood saw ever built. 4.3 cubic inches 5.4 horsepower and only 13 pounds and at the time the lowest vibe system. The yellow stickered 371 is the baddest little saw I ever ran. Always keep one in the skidder for bucking and felling small trees. The yellow stickered 394 was bad-ass as well. Reason being I think because they was the first ones out in the 3 series line. The 95 and 72 was under the emissions law, robbing torque from them, and they changed the main rod barring in them, making them a little weaker.

"Little saw", Buckin? In WI that is a moderately large saw, LOL. That 372 doesn't sound like the Huskys I am familiar with, such as my 261 or your 266XP. What's been done to it? You know, you need someone to stack your wood so you can just split logs.

Quick life story, grew up watching what I became, 15 years into my marriage, I came home to find my wife had left with our 3 kids. She had had enough and I needed to change. There is nothing like complete loss to make you realize you’re not good for anyone, I say in a situation like this you get bitter or you get better. The hardest part for me was after her being gone for two months and me not seeing the kids she came over to get their winter clothes, I said how long do you plan on being gone and she said I don’t know. She need to see the change that I made and I decided if she didn’t come back I was no good to anyone including myself the way I had been. Well long story longer we are celebrating 25 years of marriage this year. What I realized that day she left was how much I still loved her and how much I hated who I was, I am truly changed and better for it.
