Having a mental illness diagnosed for over 10 years I've learned this: You can have a mental illness and still be cruel. You can have a mental illness and still be hateful. I struggle with my mental health, also have cptsd and I wish you peace🤍 I see what you're saying about it adding to the stigma, but I think the blame more lies on usage of the phrase "mental health" as such a blanket word for an array of wildly different mental disorders. Because some mental health issues like mania in bipolar DO cause a person to become irrationally irritable and have manic rage while likely feeling better than everyone else or god-like. You and I are lucky in the sense that we are self aware enough to realize when we're struggling mentally but some mentally ill people do not have that ability. We can feel bad that he's a human suffering mentally while holding him accountable for his inexcusable behavior. They don't have to be mutually exclusive.
@iusethisnameformygoogleacc1013 Жыл бұрын
Frankly, and I mean this with the least offence possible, not all mental health disorders are made equal. This should not be ruled by anyone but a psychologist with a professional relationship to the patient. This mindset promotes people deciding they’re a lost cause and deciding it’s better to keep roaming around unstable instead of working to help themselves. I currently work for the family business and we had a discruntled employee that acted this way. He was leaving work randomly, claims people were following him, selling (stolen) weed in our parking lot, and huge narcissist. Wasnt always like that, actually a really cool kid. Before he was acting this way, he had a lot going for him. He got a new car, new flat, a raise, whole nine yards. His behavior was beginning to decline after the death of his sister and nephew (whom he disliked) but Long story short, we fired and called the police because was attempting to puncture all our tires with shive he maid. Real crazy shit. We found out a year after this went down he abandoned and has a warrent out for his arrest. The reason why we knew that is because he used to live in our spare room during covid so he had to change his address.

My analysis on him being at that streamer apparently no one knew existeds house, was they were pranking him and it was literally the worst time they could have done that and the prank instantly fell apart and no one knew what to do so it turned into a real situation. There's so much to this whole arc and I've been heavily invested into it, mostly from a psych perspective, but also, you know, how does a consumer of content, look away from something they've never seen before? I have to get it all written down because I've seen almost everything since he still had just a couple hundred viewers typically, on twitch and honestly seemed to be doing well. He was pleasant and accommodating to everyone who commented ir asked a question, for the most part. And I mean this was only around two months ago. I randomly got raided in, and was vaguely familiar with him. And then, like a few weeks ago he had rapidly grown and I was perplexed at why exactly. The rest has been a blur leading up to today. I've never seen anything quite like this.

I think we need to shout out that security that was with him. I imagine he told the dispatcher he's his security, he's going thru a manic episode, and probably also told the cops as soon as they arrived the whole 411. Which is why they didn't come in ARs cocked n aimed and didn't have everyone come out hands up one by one and cuffed up until they got the entire story that way. Like i said he prob told the dispatcher who then relayed it to the officers who were sent out. I'm not saying that Fousey shouldn't be held accountable, because he should 100%. But I've seen alot of comments come from a place of bad faith, at the end of the day this is a Bipolar person going through a Manic episode. I've got immediate family diagnosed with it, youd be suprised how hard it is for a person to consensually get treatment while they're manic. It hurts everyone around then but it hurts themselves more than anything. Some people might find it entertaining, he needs help but everyone's capitalising on his mania for content.
