As far as I know, the 2008 movie was produced by Marvel Studios. Universal merely acted as a distributor. Technically, they could produce The Incredible Hulk 2, but Universal gets to distribute it. Not Disney. Every movie with the name "Hulk" in the title, gets to be distributed by Universal. And of course, Disney doesn't want that. It all comes down to money. The way they work around that is just using the characters in other movies. Avengers, Thor. She-Hulk was a series. I think they only make an exception with Spider-Man because they have no choice. Sony has full rights to that. So, Hulk vs. Wolverine, they'd had to call it something else. It can't have Hulk in the title. And at this point is a little too late. I'd watch it with Edward Norton and Hugh Jackman. And set it after The Incredible Hulk. Before the Hulk version that we have now.
