Portofino is our absolute favorite...our kids grew up staying there. They love the beach pool! We were one of the first guests to stay when they first opened. Right after covid we stayed Club level for $289/night! The free express makes the price worthwhile...still cheaper than Disney AND free unlimited express!!

Portifino Bay Hotel is AMAZING... I was a lifeguard there and it's one of the best hotels on property and the rooms are amazing as well

Wow!! Cool tip! Its certainly not the cheapest way to go, but if you want the Unlimited Express Pass, then, yeah!! Stay at the hotel! I priced out the cheapest room at a premier hotel, for one night plus two days of tickets (for three adults) and then, separately priced the two day tickets plus Unlimited Express Passes for each day (no hotel!) and doing it all by staying at the premier hotel saved $300!! 🤯

I LOVE THE Portofino Bay hotel! As a kid, my shyster brother would get the bellhops to give us massive discounts. One time we stayed in the presidential suite with a grand piano and private balcony. It’s a core memory for me.

The only downside is if you are staying at say an idrive cheapish hotel - then you do your 1 night at Universal (keeping cheap room too), then going back to that cheap room is depressing. so maybe do it at the end of your trip :)

The refund has been going on since Dec 2023. The express pass is great since if you see how much they are for the day you can subtract that from the hotel stay. That makes you feel that you are makingbout

I honeymooned at the Portofino 16 years ago and we loved it. Granted I was 23, it was amazing to feel away from Universal while still super close and it was during HHN. Ah to be young again, ha ha

Did you know that if you're staying at a Loews Hotel Property you can pool hop during your stay... All you have to do is show your room key from the resort your staying at and they would allow you to use the pool at other hotels.

The Minions suite is soooo cute! I bet Miles lost his mind when he saw it. We hotel hopped when we were in Orlando a few years ago, did it exactly like you're saying. It saved us so much time and money, but the time savings is incomparable. We loved it and want to make another trip someday again. It was a Disney/Universal dream vacay.... we still talk about it 5 yr later.... Portifino Bay is a beautiful hotel, the staff was very helpful, as I got sick on the trip....who knew they have an in house Drs on call.... Thank you for taking me back! Thank you for your words of encouragement. Every time you get to that part of your video I tear up.... ❤

You can stay much cheaper...I've seen the room be as little as $450/night....and that includes up to 5 free express

@austingirl39 Even $450/night seems steep, though I get that the pass comes with that. I guess I'm just cheap... but any hotel over $150/night makes me twitch. That said, I'm also an Inspire Magic Key holder... so, I clearly make wise financial decisions. 🤣 Actually, it pays for itself since I visit Disneyland at least 3-5 times a month.

@InternetJury if you take into account that a 1 Night stay gives you 2 days of unlimited express for up to 5 people, it is a no-brainer. I've stayed club level for as little as $265 and along with the express we all get fed and enjoy alcoholic drinks. I was shocked when I spent $550/Night at Disney and received nothing but the room.
