Artisan should have blasted or brushed the clips on the budget versions so it blends in. The reflectivity stands out and instantly draws the eye to the cheapest looking part of the knife.

Correct. I have been deep etching all my polished and shiny clips in ferric chloride - a really, really deep long etch so it gets very dark and muted. Looks much better that way.

Got my Artisan Revel with Titatnium and RPM9 steel coming soon. WOOHOO ! I'll do like you suggested - switch to the Ti clip, which shoudl make it look heaps better. That standard clip looks a bit cheap on that knife.

I like the blade shape on the We Hyperactive and love Vanax! Unfortunately, that weird "spike" shape between the dual grinds kills it for me. I'm sure they're just trying to make it distinctive, but without any useful function it just looks like a gimmick and interrupts the flow IMO.

My lighting ano is lil better I think. The lightning strikes are more prominent and spaced apart to look better. No orange(which I found harder to do) and stands up pretty good. IV had a couple yrs and barely fading around corners. Looks more like patina. Idk if everyones look better with age but mine sure do. Got a rat 2 that's about best IV seen done at home fr
