I started ascension because of Mcdoubles then grinded out some gold to buy the CoA book.. it looks amazing but can't wait for more players to get into it, loving Knight of xoroth and venomancer

Hey man, those guys you were fighting with most certainly are twinked! XD we’re talking like an excess of 400 spell power. Pyro (Wege) is a little overturned and the damage is inflated because he ignites every target in the BG. but Necro can do really good damage too with some good spell power gear. I have non crit people for 1,250 with crypt plague in pvp and when you pair that up with the silence / heartchill it is Lethal! Also with frost spec, when you land the 10 second freeze it is a guaranteed kill on anyone… the debuff stacks with other frost necro players too =p. Thanks for the vids man, love seeing some coa.

It looks like it would be good for solo grinding. I don't mind the classes being unbalanced if they can occupy a gameplay niche and/or fulfill a class fantasy. When all the classes are decent enough at everything it means that you, as your class, don't bring anything special to your group or community. Not just a difference in numbers, but a fundamental change in what the class offers.

is the DPS meter picking up damage done by summoned pets? That used to be a problem back in the day, it made Hunters and Warlocks parse lower than they actually were.

I found your videos about a month ago and decided to try out PA. I started playing a character on resolute mode because I wanted that Vanilla grind and I just enjoy exploring and levelling my professions. It's so much fun playing PA and being able to build a hero the way I want :) COA looks boss as well and I am really looking forward to playing it :)

Must have been in an expansion. Unfortunately, the expansions poor programming and balance issues killed doac. Balance wasnt great pre patch. Hibernian dungeon wasn't stocked for over a year, their armor was horrible, etc. They gave hibs an insta cast mezz to compensate. Lurikeen champions didn't benefit from their buffs because the stats were capped. Void mage was worthless in damage compared to light mages. Void couldn't use their ranged aoe dps because it broke mezzes, etc. etc. I quit when Albion got permanent run speed. Decided to try again, and they had bolt range aoe cc. The world pvp was amazing though.

@@jefferyharper5720 oh dude you must've played classic DAoC and that's it. Yeah they added a lot more classes and void eldritch nowadays is wanted by groups for their insane resist debuffs. The dungeons got reitemized a few times. I mained a warden on Hibernia for like 10 years. Anyways the Bonedancer is a Midgard caster that has like 4 skeleton pets that all hit like a truck

@@beefzerkee I tried the expansions. There was no balance. Most people left after the first expansion was released. It was bad enough that hibs had to have an instant aoe mezz. Albion had no need of minstrel.perma run speed or bolt ranged aoe mezz in fire spec.

i started CoA just few days ago and my first try was necro to level 40! the Beam ability u get at 30+ from the necro tree, is actually an a0e beam i noticed in our SM run ! doesnt indicate that at all in the tooltip, but yeah numbers flew!

I'd give it at minimum another 8-9 months. That's being optimistic because once classes start getting their hands on level 60 gear all hell is going to break lose.

Just a heads up they specifically said in the patch notes that they dont care about balance/dmg right now. They just want to make sure the kit feels fun.

ghoulify seems a bit off flavor wise. i think it would be nice if it was a polymorph/mind control ability where the target gets turned into a ghoul but it also starts attacking your enemies for the duration, sort of like retail wows dk 'control undead' or warlocks 'enslave demon' but on a much shorter duration

Do you look at builds? I got a carnage incarnate bear build with 3300 ap Called blood bear pvp 2 and god iv been having fun Just missing some enchants to make it perfect I want counter poise and thrash and bash to go with carnage incarnate and twilight.

Classes are still way over tuned and also under tuned at the same time. I leveled a sun cleric lastnight. Did a 15-40 healing, noticed the tank(demon Hunter) at times would rock it then other times would get slapped down HARD. Was same with a guardian I played with on my witch doctor and barbarian. Haven’t tried the necro since it was OP a few months ago. Still a lot of work for the devs to do but super high hopes for the end results!

Unusual, considering pet classes are usually high dps. It looks like frost might be a better pvp spec. The ghoul was definately pve, considering damage. Low dps would be acceptable if the class offered utility. It doesn't. I remember shadow priests went from melting faces to mana batteries, with zero pvp ability.

Pet classes are really hard to balance, particularly depending on who is doing the balancing. A lot of developers don't like to give too much power to the pets because they consider it 'lazy' damage, or damage the player themselves don't directly control. As a mastermind player in City of Heroes, those people can bite my backside. They need to stop worrying so much about it and make the class fun and thematic, and if that means the damage split is 60/40 or god forbid 50/50 then so be it.

would seem the theme and class concept plays similar to diablo 2's summon necro,massive sustain & tank while an overall consistent damage as opposed to burst damage.Another thing is the afk gameplay should be nice(despite most games thinking its not a healthy/fun gameplay style alot of us would disagree,if we spend the skills/talents to have a more laid back combat style so be it)

Problem with Necromancers in dungeons is they have no aoe therefore people don't really want them. Single target dps isn't greatest either. They Need some sort of aoe to be viable. Double ghoul in pvp is pretty good, the health gained from them is great.
